Bobbin™ Marissa™'s childhood friend and sweetheart; he wants nothing more than to settle down with her and face life's challenges as they come. Unlike Marissa™, he doesn't think much about humans at all, whether they're helping or hurting Oak Branch Woods™.
Cian™ Mina™'s son; the inquisitive young squirrel honors his mother's teachings and works hard to make her proud of him, yet Cian™ is unaware of Mina's™ personal needs or the fear she carries with her as his sole caretaker.
Cindy Barrett™ The most recent member of the Oak Branch Woods™ team, Laura Holling™'s friend offers her new hope in keeping the woods safe and livable for all its inhabitants. Cindy's background in zoology gives her the knowledge to take over some of the duties assigned to Jack Roderick™, when he is suddenly out of the picture. Cindy is often separated from her husband, Paul, as their changing C.E.R. assignments usually find them in different locations.
Corrina™ Bobbin'™s mother. For the past year, she has been raising her family on her own after her mate died, often leaving time for nothing else.
Dandelion™ Gentle as the flower after which he is named, Dandelion™ is ironically the first among his siblings to witness the harsh reality of the most recent threat to Oak Branch Woods™.
SEE ALSO: Mocha™, Tapestry™, Periwinkle™
George Williams™ Local director of the State Game Management Department™ and council chairman for the organization.
Jack Roderick™ Game warden of Oak Branch Woods™ for the past sixteen years. His belief that hunting is beneficial to the wildlife population makes him an enemy in the eyes of the forest animals. When those ideals are challenged by environmentalist Laura Holling™, he is once again labeled as such, making it difficult for her to accept him as anything but a hunter.
Jaya™ Outgoing gray squirrel; Juna™'s twin brother. The two do everything together, and despite Jaya™'s growing independence as he gets older, he still is quick to protect his sister, as she's often the only one he confides in.
Juna™ Sweet and playful gray squirrel; Jaya™'s twin sister. Since losing their parents early in life, she's become the more responsible of the two, often bailing her brother out of trouble. She looks up to Marissa™.
Laura Holling™ Central for Environmental Restoration™ ecologist sent to Oak Branch Woods™ to survey the condemned area for unique or endangered plants and animals. But the closer she grows to the environment, the more problems develop between her and Jack Roderick™, finding herself in an 'opposites attract' relationship she never would have expected.
Maddie™ Marissa™'s aunt; Maddie™ is the only family Marissa™ has ever known. The head of the family, she always manages to hold everyone together.
Marissa™ A beautiful, young lop-eared rabbit who had been raised by her Aunt Maddie™ since infancy after her parents were killed by a trapper. She and her mate, Bobbin™, are often kept apart by their conflicting views of humans, and they dangers they pose. But their decision to finally settle down and raise a family may lead to the biggest sacrifice of all.
Mina™ A lonely mother squirrel, Mina™ has had to bear the burden of raising her young son, Cian™, alone since her mate was killed shortly after Cian™ was born. His untimely death has made Mina™ fully aware of the cruelty, as well as the hypocrisy that humans are capable of, and tries to teach Cian™ the survival skills necessary to live in a world where their kind is not welcome.
Mocha™ With her bold personality, Mocha™ sees herself a leader to her three siblings, Periwinkle™, Tapestry™, and Dandelion™, mainly looking out for her two brothers, but not as strong on her own.
Mr. and Mrs. Tunler™ Middle-aged groundhog couple. They had always watched over Marissa™ as she grew up, especially Mr. Tunler™ who had acted as a father figure to her. They have no children by choice, not wanting to raise a family while there was still the threat of humans in Oak Branch Woods™.
Niralyn™ A talkative ring-necked pheasant who, along with her equally chatty sister, are usually the first to spread important news throughout Oak Branch Woods™.
Periwinkle™ Not as naive as her siblings regarding the dangers of Oak Branch Woods™, she searches for honesty when changes begin to happen.
SEE ALSO: Mocha™, Tapestry™, Dandelion™
Richard Gowan™ Head of the local branch of the Central for Environmental Restoration™. (C.E.R.); Laura Holling™'s supervisor. Richard is often divided between upholding the laws defined by the C.E.R. and the emotions behind them.
Tapestry™ Silly and curious, the multi-colored bunny is somewhat attentive to the changing world around him, even if it only raises one of his ears!
SEE ALSO: Dandelion™, Mocha™, Periwinkle™
Tracker™ An old beagle who was abandoned by his owner while hunting. As a hunting dog, Tracker™ never saw the killing of forest animals as anything but a game, but he has since befriended those creatures and has become an ally, informing them of human behavior and activity.
