"Where Have the Unicorns Gone?"

from "The Return of Tambelon" (part 1)

After the unicorns have all disappeared while winking out, the
Little Ponies sing this song while searching for them after Megan
recieves a telapathic message from Ribbon stating, "Tambelon."

Megan:
Where have the unicorns gone?
Where are those magical creatures now?
Once upon a time, they frolicked near
What could have made them disappear?
Rosedust:
I keep looking high and low
They're nowhere in the neighborhood
I search every corner that I know
I can't believe they've gone for good
Megan:
Bring back the unicorns please
Don't say they've taken their final bow
I still need a dream to dream upon
Tell me where have the unicorns gone
Megan & the Little Ponies:
Oh, where have the unicorns gone?

It had been said that there was supposed too be a song in part two of "The Return of Tambelon" that never aired (it was not part of the original 1986 broadcast); supposed to have taken place before the episode began, the scene is described to have started off as a dialogue around a campfire, then it got into a part where Megan failed to begin singing, but it's said that the song was supposed to be about making plans (for the ponies to escape). Thanks Carly!

"Escape!"

from "The Return of Tambelon" (part 3)

In a desperate attempt to break out of Tambelon, Megan and the
others sing this song determined to free themselves, but to no avail.

Bushwoolies:
Escape! Escape! We gotta escape!
If only we could squeeze through and alter our shape
Escape! Escape! we gotta get out!
We gotta keep on searching till we find the route
To lead us to our friends from the awful place
Grundle King:
We've gotta make a break
I had all I can take
I need some breathing space!
Gingerbread and Sweet Stuff:
Escape! Escape! We're locked up inside
And we can't get free
Though we tried and we tried!
Bushwoolies:
However did we do it?
Somehow we went and blew it
And wound up in a scrape
Megan:
There's nothing more to say
All that's left to do is prey that someday, someday
All:
Someday, we'll escape! Escape! We gotta escape
We will escape! Escape! We gotta escape!
Grundle King:
Let me outta here!
All:
Escape!
Bushwoollie:
We gotta get outta here!

"Let the Bell of Freedom Ring"

from "The Return of Tambelon" (part 4)

Once Paradise remembers the legend of the old bell,
which gives Grogar his power. Megan and Lofty set
out to ring the bell with cause Grogar's power to be
destroyed, returning him to the Realm of Darkness.

Little Ponies:
Ring out the old! Ring in the new!
Time for a major operation's due
Soon enough we all must sing!
Let the bell on freedom ring!
Ring out the news! Speak loud and clear!
Come on, the day of liberation's here
Soon these changes will take wing
Let the bell of freedom ring!
Megan:
Somehow I can't help but feel
Any second now that bell will peel
Little Ponies:
There goes the bell - we won the fight
Sing out the song of victory tonight
All the joy our thought will bring
Let the bell of freedom ring!
Let the bell of freedom ring!

"Oh, For a Rainy Day"

from "The Magic Coins" (part 1)

After a wish on a magic coins causes it to never
rain again, a drought begins to dry up Ponyland.
The Little Ponies sing this as they prey for rain.

Posey:
Oh, for a rainy day; a day with cloudy skies
How I long for one day without the sun glaring in my eyes
Cherries Jubilee:
Give me a rainy day with puddles everywhere
Now it's parched and warm
Wish I felt a storm stirring in the air
Ribbon:
Endless blue skies get so boring
Lofty:
Oh, don't you wish it was pouring?
Megan:
Oh, for a rainy day
Spike:
Sun, sun, go away
All:
Let this be a rainy day

"Let a Song Carry You Along"

by Megan

from "The Magic Coins" (part 2)

While trekking through the Jewel Dessert, Spike and
the ponies start to feel the heat. Megan suggests
they sing a song to keep their minds of it.

When the road ahead looks bleak
Let a song carry you along
When you can't find the answer you seek
Let a song carry you along
When you feel about to drop
Stop and whistle a tune
Soon you'll be on top of the world
And the world'll be your balloon
Music lifts your spirits and keeps you going strong
So when everything seems to go wrong
Let a song carry you along
Music lifts your spirits and keeps you going strong
So when everything seems to go wrong
Let a song carry you along

"What Do You Give To a Troll?"

from "The Magic Coins" (part 3)

Trying to decide what type of gift they should give
to Niblick the troll, Megan, Spike, and the Little Ponies
throw out several ideas by singing this song.

Megan:
What do you give to a troll?
What gift would he like best?
Magic Star:
How about a lucky charm?
Spike:
How about a brand new smoke alarm?
Megan:
What do you give to a troll
To make him feel impressed?
Galaxy:
How about a nice fake fur?
Spike:
What about a fire extinguisher?
Gingerbread:
How about some gingerbread?
Wind Whistler:
How about a dictionary?
Heart Throb:
How about a beautiful bouquet?
Spike:
Maybe we should just call it a day
And give the guy a fireworks display!
Megan:
What do you give to a troll?
I think it's very clear
Whatever you give to a troll
The answer isn't here
All:
Whatever you give to a troll
The answer isn't here

"Friends"

from "The Magic Coins" (part 4)

After reversing the effects to the Magic Coins,
Niblick sings this song with the Little Ponies
celebrating friendship, since it was his new
friend who caused him to turn his life around.

Baby Sea Ponies:
Shoo-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo
Shoo-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo
All:
Friends are a treasure
Friends bring such pleasure
Lifting spirits up to the sky
Megan:
Don't know what I'd do without my
All:
Friends!
Niblick:
When you're lonely
All:
Friends!
Niblick:
They're the only certain cure to shake off the blues
Other troll:
Oh, with a friend you never can lose
Niblick and other troll:
Of all treasures, what do we choose?
All:
Friends!
Niblick and other troll:
Friends!
All:
Lifting spirits up to the sky
Friends! Friends! Friends!
Baby Sea Ponies:
Shoo-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo
Shoo-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo
All:
Friends! Friends! Friends! Friends!

"Little Hobo"

from "Woe Is Me" (part 1)

For everyone's safety, Woebegone wants
to leave Ponyland, but Ribbon, Gingerbread,
and Masquerade convince him to stay.

Ribbon:
Come back, little hobo, come back
We want you for a friend
Woebegone:
Forget it - I'm a jinx
You'll hate me in the end
Ribbon, Gingerbread, & Masquerade:
Come home, little hobo, come home
Come play with us a bit
Woebegone:
You're making a big mistake
I'll only make a mess of it
Telling me to stick around is taking quite a gamble
Paradise Estate will turn into a shamble
Ribbon, Gingerbread, & Masquerade:
Please stay, little hobo, please stay
You mustn't go away
Woebegone:
Alright, alright, okay
I only prey that you won't say
You rue the day I said I'll stay

"If I Don't Go Now..."

from "Woe Is Me" (part 2)

Once again, Woebegone decides to leave Ponyland,
but he decides to stay when Gingerbread and
Masquerade refuse to belive in bad luck.

Woebegone:
I'd better go now before you hate me later
I'm going while the getting's good
Masquerade:
What your worry? What's you're hurry?
We like having you in the neighborhood
Woebegone:
But if I don't go now, you're gonna hate me later
No matter what I do, it goes wrong
Gingerbread:
Don't be foolish! Don't act mulish!
Here is where you belong
Woebegone:
Maybe you're right - why should I move?
Masquerade:
Don't be uptight
Gingerbread:
Things will improve
Masquerade:
We think you're just swell and we'll think so later
Gingerbread:
No matter come what may
Woebegone:
You wouldn't lie?
Masquerade and Gingerbread:
Cross our hearts and hope to die
Woebegone:
Oh great! Terrif! I'll stay!

"How Does My Garden Grow?"

by Posey

from "Fugitive Flowers" (part 1)

Posey proudly sings this song as she admires
the lovely flowers she's grown in her garden.

How does my garden grow?
With lots of tender care
When there is care to spare
Flowers blossom everywhere
It doesn't take a magic wand to make a daffodil respond
And anyone can make a rosebud sprout
If you want a healthy fern, simply show it some concern
Affection Is what it's all about
What makes my garden bloom?
My seedlings have no fear
They know that Mother's near if the fates should interfere
They all depend on me, their friend
To weed and rake and hoe
I give my flowers love
And it's love that makes my garden grow

"Remember, Always Look Twice"

from "Fugitive Flowers" (part 2)

Heartbroken that the Flores had turned evil, Posey
learns a lesson about judging creatures based on
their appearances from Megan and Cherries Jubilee.

Megan:
When you look at a caterpillar, it's ugly to the eye
But remember, a caterpillar becomes a butterfly
Ugly isn't always nasty
Pretty isn't always nice
Looks can be deceiving
Remember, always look twice
Be careful how you reach conclusions
Cherries Jubilee:
Appearances are often just illusions
Megan:
So remember that with some creatures
A frown can mean a grin
Don't be fooled by their outward features
The goodness lies within
Both:
Ugly isn't always nasty
Pretty isn't always nice
Looks can be deceiving
Remember, always look twice
Remember, always look twice
