Friendship Gardens CD-ROM Pony Village (page 1) |

Your Oak Branch Woods purchase helps keep Dream Valley online--thank you!

In Pony Village, you can play with all your pony friends. There's Ivy at her Beauty Salon, Light Heart's cottage where you'll find her and her game room as well as Sweet Berry's kitchen, Sundance's Dance Studio, and Morning Glory in her Schoolhouse. You can come and play in these cottages with or without your virtual pet pony; just make sure that you both visit every place before you send your pony over the rainbow.
Ivy's Beauty Salon:
Inside the salon, you can dress Ivy up in fancy accessories or style and color her hair in many different ways. She will introduce herself, and ask what you want to do. If you click behind the changing wall, you'll see Ivy surrounded by several boxes. Inside each one is either a hat, a pair of glasses, or a necklace. And hanging on the wall are various tail ornaments. By clicking any of these accessories, and then clicking Ivy, she will wear what you picked. You can color each of these accessories or leave them the way they are. You can snap a picture of Ivy and select a background for her to pose in front of. There's a choice of a pool, a forest, and many more. You can even print out your picture of Ivy.
When you take Ivy into her hair salon, you can change her hair completely. She stands underneath a styler with three different flower-shaped dials that give you your options. One changes the style of her mane, and you can preview each style before you try it. And they other two dials change the color of her hair - one changing the main color and the other changing the color of the streak. When you select any of these colors or styles, the styler will come down over Ivy's head and when it's lifted, Ivy will have a new look! You can snap a picture if Ivy in a frame with different decorate backgrounds which you can print. Back in the salon, you can change Ivy's hair back over by running the magic hairbrush though it.
Light Heart's Game cottage:
There's lots to do in Light's Heart's cottage. Inside, you can play or choose to visit Sweetberry in her kitchen. But if you choose to stay in the game room, you have your choice of several games and activities. One thing you can do is watch pony videos on Light Heart's TV/VCR; you can see clips of a pet pony playing on the far for one. Around the room, there are five books, each about a different little pony (Sweet Berry, Light Heart, Ivy, Sundance, or Morning Glory). When you locate a book, cluck on it and the Butterfly will read you a biography of each pony. Also in the books are coloring pages for each pony - about three pictures each that you can print out and color.
There are also games you can play. You can play a game of Tic-Tac-Hoof against the Butterfly, who who makes it every difficult to win! You play the horseshoes and she plays the x's. Sometimes, no one wins the game and you just have to start over. But if you win, Light Heart comes into the room and congratulates you.
Another activity you can do is print out a collection of paper building fronts or the different cottages and places on the farm. You can cut them out and fold them and have your own Ponyland for you ponies to play in. There's a silo, sheds, salon, dance studio, and more.
The last game is a set of puzzles called Switch Puzzles. They are mixed up scenes where you click two pieces and they switch places, hopefully to where they belong in order to make a correct picture. The scenes are of all different ponies; some are original pics while others are taken from the My Little Pony jigsaw puzzles. There are three different levels to choose from - four pieces, eight pieces, and sixteen pieces. And when you rearrange a puzzle, it warps into a colorful design and Light Heart comes into congratulate you.
