In early 1999, two new sets of ponies came out in Europe. This set includes new Little Ponies and Accessories. There's some new faces as well as some familiar ones, but with new surprises.

Easter Pony

Easter Pony
Sky Skimmer is the Easter Pony. She looks a lot like the Secret Surprise Friend, with the same pose and colors. But she has a unique Easter symbol. It is her butterfly, only on its side with three colored eggs underneath. She comes with a pink flower and leaf comb that she can wear around her neck. Since Sky Skimmer is the Nature lover, she likes to play with the baby bunnies and chicks at Easter time. She comes with a purple basket with two chicks inside that pop up when you press the handle down. Sky Skimmer also comes on a special card with an Easter-egg shaped bubble.

Secret Surprise Friends

Secret Surprise Friends
This was the third year for Secret Surprise Friends, and there are four new ponies included in the newest set. They each come with they own accessories as well as having some very unique physical features to match their names and personalities. Please note that I do not own these ponies, so their descriptions are based on what I can see from the pictures in the My Little Pony booklet that the picture was scanned from.

Hip Holly (named Miss Gadget in France) seems to be the retro 70's pony, but as with everything else retro, she is also equipped with the latest technology. Her body is a transparent orange and she is filled with yellow and orange bits, making her look a lot like a Glow 'n Show Pony. Her hair is bright orange with a chartreuse forelock and her symbol is chartreuse 70's-looking flowers. She comes with a bag decorated with these flowers and inside she carries a cell phone, a pager, a flower barrette, and a yellow flower hairpick which she can also wear around her neck.
Merry Moments is into photography and has accessories that show off her favorite hobby. She is aqua with dark pink hair and her symbol is a photo album. She comes with two? large photos of ponies that she can strap to her back like a blanket and display. She also comes with a camera and a blue ? hairpick to wear around her neck.
Satin Slipper is a ballerina. She is dressed in a complete ballet outfit which included a molded pink leotard, blue legwarmers, pink slippers (with real ribbons) and a white removable (material) tutu. She is white with a purple and red mane and a red tail. Her symbol, a human foot wearing a ballet slipper, is on her leotard, on her hips. She comes with a heart hairpick.
Flash is the rollerblading pony. She looks a lot like Seabreeze, the mail order pony, and I have heard that this might just be a new version of her. Flash is light aqua with a pink mane and a purple tail, and her symbol is a blue inline skate. She is wearing four rollerblades and kneepads (on all four legs), and a helmet. She come with a dark pink ? hairpick she can wear around her neck (when she's not skating!).
Secret Tale, from the previous year, is also included in this collection.

Magic Motion Friends

There were three new Magic Motion Friends this year and with each new year, their accessories seem to be getting more and more elaborate and creative. Please note that I do not own these ponies, so their descriptions are based on what I can see from the pictures in the My Little Pony booklet that the picture was scanned from.

Magic Motion Friends

Petal Blossom returns, this time she's on a picnic in Petal Blossom's Picnic Playtime. She still has the same look - a purple body with pink hair and blue flowers symbol. But this time, she moves her front leg when you turn her head. She shares her picnic lunch with a chipmunk who pops up out of a tree stump which is set on a base of grass, flowers, and a blanket. She has a basket that come contains various foods. She also comes with what looks to be a ?bracelet for you? with fruit charms on it and a pink flower hairpick. There's also a rainbow with a ?butterfly on it that arches over Petal Blossom's picnic area.
Dizzy Lizzy is a scatty little pony who cam make a wish in Dizzy Lizzy's Wishing Well. She is pinkish-purple with two-tone aqua and purple hair and her symbol is a magic wand that looks like a flower. When you push her tail in, she lowers her head and she carries a wand that looks like her symbol in her mouth. Her well has a clear bottom, and the roof is held up by a rainbow arch. She comes with a purple flower comb and what looks like a ?bracelet with a large, clear heart-sharped charm.
Bright Bramley looks like a student all ready for school in a playset called Bright Bramley's School Desk. She is peach with a purple and ?yellow mane and purple tail, and her symbol is an apple. She raises her front leg when you turn her head. She is wearing a removable plaid skirt and four ?molded saddle shoes. She carried a backpack on her back with a large piece of chalk and a ? pink comb around her neck. She comes with a desk (that tilts upward like a drafting table) and has a top that lifts up to reveal a My Little Pony text book.
Sweet Berry's Tea Party is also included in this set.

Garden Playsets

Sweet Berry's Magic Kitchen

Sweet Berry's Magic Kitchen
Sweet Berry is Loving and with her Magic Kitchen, she can bake all kinds of goodies for her friends. It comes with lots of accessories and opens and closes, making it easy to carry and store.
Sweet Berry herself has had some changes made to her. She is the still the same pinkish-purple body color with a two tone dark pink & light pink mane and light pink tail. She has teal eyes with blueish? crystals. But one big difference is her symbol. She has three dimensional design that covers both sides of her body, not just her rump. And her symbol has also changed being that it now pictures strawberry plants, not hearts. When her head is turned, her right front leg moves. PLEASE NOTE: Like Magic Motion Ivy, be very careful when moving Sweet Berry's head and leg! Sweet Berry also wears a yellow & red apron around her neck.

The Kitchen is a yellow building on a green base with a coral fence that opens. The left side opens and reveals the stove and shelves inside. There's a secret shelf on the right wall that lifts up and snaps into place. On it, you can place the things Sweet Berry needs to bake including a two orange bowls, tan spoon, fork, and rolling pin. There's also a window box and a small shelf underneath for storage of other things including Sweet Berry's teal grapes comb or the towel that matches her apron. The stove is the magical part of the kitchen. On the stove top, you can use the orange teapot or the purple frying pan. But inside, if you place a uncooked pie or muffins (in the purple tin) in the oven, they will come out cooked. The secret is a damp foam sponge in the oven that changes raw white tops of the pastries into a golden brown. Sweet Berry's name is Smultron-Söt in Swedish.

Magic Rainbow Forest Playset with Sun Sparkle

Magic Forest Playset with Sun Sparkle
The Magic Rainbow Forest Playset is a huge piece of land built up with fun structures for the little ponies to play on. It features five electronic sounds and seven actions (moving pieces). It even comes with its own special pony, Sun Sparkle (formerly Sundance in the U.S.). Walking into the forest, there's a bridge over a narrow river where you can hear the water splash and a frog croak, and also see a fish swim. This leads your pony to a picnic area with a blanket and lots of food (decal). There's a seesaw and when when Sun Sparkle rocks on it, she giggles. Overhead it a large rainbow and at one end, there's a Wishing Waterfall where you can turn a dial to see when your pony wants to wish for. On the other end, there are two butterflies who make the sound of wind chimes when you touch them. Off to the side, there's a tree and in the branches above is a treehouse for the ponies to play in. In the trunk of the tree, you can see a chipmunk pop up and in the leaves, press a butterfly to make a bird appear. On the treehouse, there's a telescope for the ponies to look though and a swing hanging from the branches. Other accessories include a picnic basket, a turquoise bush hairpick, and a kite for Sun Sparkle to fly when worn on her back.
