Little Ponies (1998-99)

Sugar Belle, the Shopper, is blue with a dark pink & pink mane and pink tail. She has violet eyes w/ green crystals and has a dark pink purse as her symbol. She loves to shop and comes with a heart-shaped purse with a leafy strap that she wears around her neck. Inside her purse is a bouquet of flowers. Sugar Belle can reach down and pick them out of her purse or drop them in by touching the flowers with her nose. Her pick is mint green and has three roses on it.
Cupcake is pinkish-purple with a pink & red mane, and red tail. She has violet eyes w/ pink crystals and has a pink gift box as her symbol. She's Generous and would like to share the cake she comes with. By touching her nose to the rose in the center, Cupcake's one layer cake becomes and three tier cake. There's also strap on the cake, so she can carry it on her side. Her pick is mint green and is shaped like a large flower and leaves.

This later set of Secret Surprise Friends features two Little Ponies with more elaborate accessories. Note that in the UK, the packages do not say "Secret Surprise Friends" on them.

Secret Tale, like her name, is the Secretive one. She is white with a two tone red & purple mane and a purple tail. She has blue eyes with pink crystals. She comes with a red magic revealer to show secret pictures to you. The first is her symbol which is a frilly red heart with little red hearts around it. The inside is covered with tiny red leaves and vines. But when you look at it though the red viewer, the design disappears and you can see a blue teddy bear on one side and an ice cream soda on the other. Secret Tale also comes with four magic stickers that also have secrets hidden under red design. They come in shapes of lips, a heart (like her symbol), a star, and a flower (but I won't reveal the secret pictures). Secret Tale also comes with a red-orange berries & leaves hairpick she wears around her neck.
Wingsong is Helpful and has special bird friends. She is purple with dark pink hair and her symbol is a blue birdhouse hanging in branches. She has blue eyes with clear crystals. She come with an aqua bird bath with two blue birds with shimmering wings that perch on the rim. Wingsong can pull the birds from the back with her nose. Wingsong also wears and pink & yellow flower necklace that you can wear as a bracelet, and a pink flower petal hairpick.

Moon Shadow is mulberry with bright red hair and has a pink streak in her mane. Her symbol is a pink crescent moon surrounded by stars. And her eyes are dark blue with clear crystals. Moon Shadow is Mysterious and loves to dress up for parties. She wears a bracelet and necklace shaped like purple roses and with her magic, she can pick up her necklace when you push in her tail and she lowers her head. She can store her jewelry in her pink dresser (in the top drawer) which has a picture frame and other objects attached to it. She also has a purple rose comb. Like other Magic Motion Friends, she has a fence with a rainbow; the fence is yellow (with purple flowers) with a light green grassy base and the rainbow has a sleeping crescent moon on it.
Tipsy Tulip is peach with light pink hair and has an aqua streak in her mane. She has dark aqua eyes with peach crystals and her symbol is a bunch of purple tulips. She is Neat and likes to have every hair in place. Tipsy Tulip can turn her head to look in her mirror when you turn her tail. And below her mirror is a blue sink and cabinet (decorated with purple and orange flowers) where you can store her accessories. She comes with two large purple butterfly barrettes with red hair attached to them that both she and you can wear as well as an aqua tulip comb. Her fence is purple (with orange flowers) with a mint green grass base and her rainbow has two blue birds on it.

These two Magic Motion Friends were the hardest to find in the U.S. since they were not released until early 1999, and even then, only in limited areas. They accessories were more elaborate than some of the earlier Magic Motion Friends.

Sweet Berry, the Loving one, was an especially late release since since she came out months after the Basket Surprise variation. She is purple with a pink tale and two-tone dark pink/light pink mane. Her symbol is heart berries and her eyes are blue with clear crystals. She comes with a table with setting for a tea party. She has a teapot, two cups, a tray of cupcakes, and a gold flower comb. A rainbow with a bird and a strawberry arches on it over the table, and can also attach any of the other Magic Motion Friends' fences. Sweet Berry can sit down at her table with her moveable hind legs.
Satin Splash is the Water Lover with aquatic accessories for her to play with. She is bright yellow with dark pink & purple hair. Her symbol is a reddish splash of water and her eyes are aqua (crystals too). She's wearing blue flower earrings and a ring and there's even a ring for you. It's hidden in her waterfall with a secret compartment behind the water that she can reveal by stepping on the flower lever. Above the waterfall, is a rainbow with a fish on it that can also be attached to any Magic Motion Friends' fence. She also came with a blue flower hair pick. PLEASE NOTE: Like Magic Motion Ivy, be very careful when moving Satin Splash's head and leg!

Basket Surprise (Italy: Cestino Delle Sorprese, NL: Verrassingsmand) comes with Sweet Berry (Italy: Golosina, NL: Framboosje) and Ivy (Italy: Gemma, NL: Juweeltje). They are the same colors as the originals; the only difference is that one side of their symbols (or "rump design"s) is surrounded by a large green leaf. Their symbols are also slightly smaller on that side. They come with a basket with a cover that pops up when you press down on the handle and inside is a bunch of flowers. There's also a large butterfly that attaches to the handle. Sweet Berry and Ivy also come with two different flower barrettes (mine are dark pink) and a two-slower comb (mine is dark purple. Colors of the barrettes and combs vary from the ones shown.
Special Birthday Magic (Italy: Magico Compleanno, NL: Verjaardagsfeest) comes with Light Heart (Italy: Gioietta, NL: Lighthartje) and Sundance (Italy: Raggio Di Sole, NL: IjdelTuitje). Light Heart has a yellow balloon over her symbol and the main difference is that the large heart is now filled in orange and the little one inside is now pink (not orange) and the surrounding dots are now all orange. Another difference is that she has pure white hooves, not pink. Sundance is the same and she has a blue balloon on her symbol. Both symbols are slightly smaller on the site with the balloons. They come with party hats to wear and birthday cards. There's also a special cake with a candle you can blow out. They each have a barrette shaped like party hats (mine are purple) and a balloon comb (mine is dark pink). Again, the colors of the barrettes and comb may vary from the ones shown.

My Pretty Parlor comes with its own pony too. It's yet another version of Ivy, the glamor girl. She's slightly different from the original. She has an extra long mane and it's colors are reversed (she has purple in front and neon pink in the back and her tail is still neon pink). Her symbol is purple, but the difference is that the leaves are pink inside. She is also in a different pose.
