(Dutch Ponies)

This large group of ponies was probably the last set of ponies sold before their world-wide discontinuation. It's possible that these ponies were only sold in Holland. It included adult and baby ponies, but many were just re-colored versions of some of their earlier international ponies, mainly the MLP Tales Ponies. They are described as cheaper versions of the original ponies, also because they had no real names, just descriptions that end with "-pony", preceded by a word that matches their symbol. However, unlike some variants, these ponies appear just as well-made as most other regular ponies, with such characteristics as soft, shiny hair, firm bodies (not too hard, not too soft), neatly-painted eyes, and complete, legible hoof markings. In an altered scan sent to me by a fellow collector, their names are as followss: the first name in the picture is Dutch, the next is German (if there are three names), and the last in the English translation. All of them are Earth ponies unless otherwise noted. They all come with the yellow comb or other accessory that is pictures next to each one. Please note that some of the ponies are shown in the second picture are mirror images. Please note: Only 1995 Dutch Ponies that are photographed (not from scans) are included in the Pony Identification search.

Dutch Ponies

Vlinder-pony (Dutch), Schmetterling-pony (German), or Butterfly pony (English) is the alternate to Mummy Meadowsweet, the Family Friends Pony. She is yellow with pale gold hair (solid color as opposed to the original), pink eyes, and three purple butterflies as her symbol (w/blue outlines).
Dagboek-pony (Dutch), Tagesbuch-pony (German), or Diary pony (English) is the alternate to Bright Eyes, the Tales Pony. Diary pony has a dark blue, almost translucent body with blue hair, and pink eyes (the 'dot' in her eyes is s lighter pink). Her symbol is a blue & yellow notebook with a yellow pen.
Love pony (same in all three languages) is aqua with light pink hair, and pink eyes (the 'dot' in her eyes is light pink). She is the alternate to Kiss & Tell, the U.K. Sweet Kisses Pony because she has the same symbol - an envelope (dark blue outline) sealed with a kiss (red lips, and two red hearts underneath). However, aside from having different colors, Love pony is also in a different pose than Kiss & Tell and has no tinsel in her hair.

Dutch Ponies

Dolfijn-pony (Dutch) or Delphine pony (German or English?) is white with bright red hair, pale lavender eyes, and a blue fish (w/yellow fins) jumping out of the water (yellow splashes) as her symbol. She is the alternate to Baby Sunbright, the Family Baby Pony. All of Delphine pony's colors are different from Baby Sunbright's, but the main difference is that Delphine pony's hair is one solid color.
Konijntjes-pony (Dutch), Kaninchen-pony (German), or Rabbit Pony (English) is pink with yellow hair, and light green eyes. Her rabbit symbol is the same as one of the two different symbols originally belonging to Baby Snoozy, the Surprise Newborn, but with different colors. Rabbit-pony's symbol is a yellow & blue rabbit wearing a yellow bow tie. She is an unusual alternate because her body type is very different from Baby Snoozy; Rabbit Pony is a pegasus, and a baby pony (not newborn). She also has an unpainted tooth.
Bloemetjes-pony (Dutch), Blumen-pony (German), or Flower pony (English) is the most well known of all the ponies in this set. She's more commonly known as Baby Blumen. Though her symbol is thought to be a flower, she is the alternate to Baby Diamond, the Jewellrey Baby. Baby Blumen is yellow with purple hair, and light blue eyes. Her symbol is a pink pentagon, surrounded by a dark blue ruffle w/pink dots. Though she is Baby Diamond's alternate, she is in the same pose as Baby Sapphire (shown in insert), a late and uncommon pose, marked ©1993. She has no tinsel in her hair (unlike Jewellry Babies) and comes with a red lollipop barrette instead of a yellow comb.
School pony (Dutch and English) or Schule-pony (German) is the alternate to Baby Schoolbag, the Playschool Baby Pony. She - or he, as the original is a boy - has a sea green body, medium green hair (darker than original), and pink eyes. He/she has also has no freckles.

Dutch Ponies

Cat-pony (pink hair)

Snoepjes-pony (Dutch), Sussig-pony (German-pony) or Candy pony (English) is the alternate to Bon Bon, the Tales Pony. Pictured as largest pony in the original ad, she is announcing this line of ponies, stating "Wij zijn uniek; verzamel ons allemaal!" in Dutch, which translates into "We are unique, collect us all!" in English. Her body and symbol colors are different; she is pink with dark red hair (mane falls to non-display side). She has turquoise eyes and her wrapped candy symbol is dark blue & pink (dots are also these colors).
Hartjes-pony (Dutch), Hertzchen-pony (German), and Heart pony (English) is the alternate to Sweetheart, the Tales Pony. Her colors have also all been changed, making her light pink with dark purple hair (mane falls to display side). She has blue eyes and her hearts symbol is red (large heart) and orange (three small hearts).
Poesjes-pony (Dutch), Katzen-pony (German), or Cat Pony (English) is orange with white hair (that changes to pink in the sun; appears lighter in photo) and her symbol is a cat (dark blue outline; two tiny hearts above). Her eyes are light pink and she also has an (unpainted) first tooth. Because of her matching cat symbol, she is the alternate to Baby Katie, the Best Friends Pony, however, she stands in a different pose.

(remaining ponies)

Meezing-pony (Dutch), Mitsing-pony (German), or Singalong pony (English) is the alternate to Melody, the Tales Pony. Her symbol - a yellow microphone - is the same, but her body colors are different with her now being white with pink hair.
Sterretjes-pony (Dutch), Stern-pony (German), or Star pony (English) is the alternate to Starlight, the Tales Pony. Like Singalong pony, Star pony's symbol is the same as Starlight's - yellow and blue stars - but her body colors have become white with blue hair.
Schelp-pony (Dutch), Muschel-pony (German), or Shell pony (English) is mint green with blue hair and has a large shell and a small shell as her symbol. According to her symbol, she may be the alternate to Mommy Sunbright (called Mami on the MLP Tales series), the Family Friends Pony.

*I'm looking for Star-pony, Shell-pony, and Singalong-pony. They are not yet listed on my Want List. If you have any of these ponies, and want to sell them, please e-mail me with any information. Thanks!*
