My Little Pony Commercials
Beginning in Year 1, My Little Pony advertised on television up until Year 9. The earliest commercials is where the traditional "My Little Pony" jingle originated that later went on to be the melody for the My Little Pony theme songs. In Year 5, the commercials changed to a new melody and collectors became known as My Little Pony Mommies. In Year 6, collectors could say "love" because they loved and bought ponies. You were also called My Little Pony Girls and that continued until Year 9, although the melody changed again. Being made by Hasbro, My Little Pony was most often advertised during girls' TV shows produced by Hasbro namely Jem (and Jem was often advertised during My Little Pony 'n Friends). Because I am a fan and was a regular viewer of Jem, I was had the opportunity to acquire many My Little commercials on audio and video tape from Years 4 through Year 7. It became more difficult to get the later commercials after Jem want off the air, and I missed a lot of the earlier ones not having a VCR yet. Some commercials have been contributed from other MLP collectors. The earliest commercials I remember were the one introducing the first six ponies, which lead to purchasing my first pony, Cotton Candy and the one for Year 2's Sea Ponies and Show Stable which I still remember a few lines (last two do not appear on the site, however). Since then, I have been collecting MLP commercials that are just as nostalgic as My Little Ponies themselves.
