Baby Ballerinas were designed in the same style as the adult Sweetsteps Ballerina Ponies. They are all Earth ponies and also the only fully poseable baby ponies with jointed legs and necks. They have colored molded leotards and ballet slippers with colored bows (a bow of this same color also appears on the front of their leotards). However, their slippers are not colored; they are the same as their body colors (some have been painted as shown). Unlike the adults, the babies have traditional head and body molds, only with slimmer waists. They have long hair, and no symbol. Each Baby Ballerina came with a flower brush.

Teeny Tiny Ponies logo with Little Giggles graphic

After Newborns, it didn't seem like baby ponies could get any smaller. But Teeny Tiny ponies were little newborn ponies who were the smallest babies ever. They have large eyes and tiny noses and mouths; some collectors have said that their faces make them look like kittens, which may explain some of the names. Their eyes are slightly different from traditional pony eyes, and have very tiny noses. Teeny Tiny Ponies are all Earth ponies and have very and each came with a bear brush or duck comb. They came in two different molds, one marked with a "1" on the pony's left front hoof, and the others marked on the same place with a "2". Some Teeny Tiny Ponies had different names in the U.K.

Secret Surprise Ponies logo

The Secret Surprise Ponies held special surprises for collectors who looked inside their secret compartments. Each pony has a cape on her back, and when special a heart-shaped key is inserted into the hole on her chest, the cape pops open to reveal a lovely piece of jewelry in a tiny storage space. This made these ponies larger than regular female adult ponies; and all Secret Surprise Ponies are Earth ponies. They have no symbols, but their capes are decorated with special designs of either hearts or stars on their capes, locks, and even in their eyes. They each came with a heart-shaped key with a raised pony design on it (that can be worn around their neck with a metallic gold string), and a unique bow shaped comb with a raised pony's face design (cameo) in the center.

Princess Pony logo with graghic

My Little Pony has always been known for royalty, since there were always princess ponies and castles. In Year 9, these were two Princesses, who seemed variations on the same pony, with no specific names (both simply called 'Princess'), but with different colors and symbols. Princess Pony comes in the same thin Earth pony pose as Pony Bride, has pastel multi-faceted tinsel in her hair, and wears a silver tiara and pearly, iridescent cape with a faux fur collar. But she is best know for her soft, long, black false eyelashes. Each Princess also has long, wavy hair, and came with a frog brush.

The royal purple Princess pony has dark pink hair, and blue eyes. Her symbol is a pink & blue a coach, the collar on her cape is aqua.

'Firefly's Adventure' logo

'Firefly's Adventure'

The first My Little Pony special was originally released on video in the mid-80's, but only to rent, in the days when videos were rarely released for purchase, and when they were, many sold for an average of $80-$90. Therefore, it wasn't sold in stores to own until Year 9. It was renamed "Firefly's Adventure" and sold with a new Firefly (pegasus). She stands in a different pose (like Heart Throb), her hair is dark blue, and her symbol of two blue lightening bolts is not glittery. Like the original, her body is pink, and her eyes are purple. The video is the complete, uncut television special, which includes opening and closing credits, songs, and scenes not included in the edited two-part version shown as part of the My Little Pony 'n Friends TV series ("Rescue at Midnight Castle").
