Year 8 was the last year that My Little Pony accessories were produced in the United States. In a year where the number of ponies in sets were being scaled down, accessories of the era were included a new version of an early playset, and one that only existed in a brochure.

The Princess Baby Buggy is a fancier, glittery version of the original Baby Buggy from Year 3. It's made in the same style with a basket and umbrella, but the basket is dark pink (solid-colored) and the umbrella is a see-through dark pink filled with silver glitter. Both the basket and umbrella have white & silver lace trim around the edges, and a dark pink metallic ribbon ties around the pink heart atop the umbrella. The wheels are also glitter-filled, and are a see-through purple with a pink flowers in the center of each. The Princess Baby Buggy has the same white adjustable handle (w/pink flowers) as the original that an adult pony could use to nuzzle the buggy along.
Inside the buggy, there's baby princess pony named Baby Princess Sparkle (Earth pony). She is white with pink hair (w/blue/yellow/pink tinsel), and blue eyes. Her symbol is a glittery gold & magenta castle in the clouds, and on her forehead is a glittery gold star. Her accessories include a pink shooting star barrette, a white & silver floral lace ribbon, pink felt blanket, turquoise feeding dish, pink spoon, turquoise training cup, and dark purple duck comb.
Sweet-Ice Delight Cottage
The Sweet-Ice Delight Cottage was advertised as part of the Year 8 collection, however, to the best of my knowledge, this playset was never actually produced. According to the brochure, the windmill of the sweet shop made real Sno-Cones when you placed ice cubes inside and flavored them with Flavor-Aid powder. The ad shows the playset as a white, pink, and turquoise building with sweet shop accessories including cups for the Sno-Cones, shovel-shaped spoons, pony-sized desserts, and a solid-colored pegasus figurine. Parts of the cottage seemed to mimic those of earlier My Little Pony accessories including a table (with umbrella) and chairs (in the style of the Paradise Estate patio furnatiture) and a pony-shaped weather vein (in the style of the Show Stable's weather vein).
The Sweet-Ice Delight Cottage was scheduled for release in stores in July, August, or September 1990. If anyone knows whether this playset was actually made and when or where it was available, or has any other information, please e-mail me.
G3 update! In 2006, MLP collectors finally got a sno-cone machine! Shaped like a large white glacier, the attached Pinkie Pie figurine shakes, skiing down the mountain as you turn the pink crank in the back to shave the ice. Like the original, it comes with cherry Flavor-aid (Kool-aid also works great!) Other accessories include a purple MLP-heart logo scoop, 6 paper cups (I recommend using plastic though), and stickers (not recommended, as they would be damaged when when rinsing out the machine after use.) Later, it was repacked in a closed-box, and labeled as an EasyBake product. I found it at K-mart, and haven't seen it elsewhere. The sno-cone machine is a personal favorite and functional MLP collectible (also works great as a cheese grater!)....and worth the wait!
