On the first day of Autumn, Baby Shady, Baby Tiddley-Winks, and Baby Lickety-Split befriend a giant puppy after she rescues Baby Tiddley-Winks from the river. The baby ponies name her Dinah, because she is big, like a dinosaur. The ponies are reluctant to let them keep her, but decide to allow it since winter was coming and after they decided to build her a doghouse. But because of her size, Dinah causes a lot of problems for the little ponies, even when she is only trying to be helpful and she also requires very high maintenance. By the following spring, Dinah has grown into an adult dog, and is joined by her friends whom she was separated from last fall. Baby Tiddley-Winks allows her to go, and and Dinah was missed by all the ponies...even Lickety-Split who never admitted that she liked her.

"Sweet Stuff and the Treasure Hunt"
Sweet Stuff sees all her friends playing games, and wants to join in. However, she can't seem to play tag with the Bushwoolies, hide and seek with the unicorns, and croquet with the Baby Sea Ponies. On top of that, more than once, she stumbles upon a busy squirrel who has no interest in playing games. Just when she's about to give up, Sweet Stuff is asked to join a scavenger hunt. However with Whizzer as her partner, Sweet Stuff can't keep up which meant Whizzer found all the items on the list first. After they decided to separate, Sweet Stuff surprised everyone by finding the treasure which was a riddle that first had to be solved: "Something that is one even when it is many." It turned out to be the Bushwoolies who all think with a collective mind, even though there are several of them, as if they were one.

"Little Piece of Magic"
Baby Half Note, Baby Lofty, Baby Ribbon, and Baby Tiddley-Winks are all board and are told by Buttons and Ribbon to play a game of make-believe by themselves. They give the baby ponies a little red ball and tell them that it can be anything they want. Baby Tiddley-Winks imagines it to be a guide through a fantasy playland with tons of toys and games to play with.
Next, Baby Lofty imagines the ball to be a flight instructor and before long, it helps her to become the best flying pony of all time. Then, Baby Half Note thinks of the ball as the piano player who accompanies her while she dances the ballet on stage for all of Ponyland. And last. Baby Ribbon pretends that the ball becomes a good luck charm that that she wears and it teaches her her to wink in and out successfully. She even dreams of opening her own school of winking. When the baby ponies awake from their fantasies, they realize that there was no red ball, and it was all in their imagination. Later, Ribbon and Buttons saw that the red ball had gotten caught in the bushes.

"Mish Mash Melee"
While playing polo, Shady, Wind Whistler, Gusty, and Fizzy chase the ball into the Mastificent Forest where they accidentally fall into the the underground enclave of the Dell Dwellers. Wind Whistler explains that the maintain the forest and all the trees and rocks in it and are a delicately balanced society. The ponies accidentally upset the barrel that is the souse of that balance, and let loose the Frazzits, hundreds of colored-teardrop shaped life forms that attack the ponies and Dell Dwellers, changing their personalities to the opposite. Gusty becomes shy and awkward, Shady suddenly has no fear and wants to show off, Fizzy is now mature and logical, and Wind Whistler is now a dizzy airhead. Worst of all, the Dell Dwellers have all become lazy and disorganized, which kept them from their work. Fizzy takes charge and teaches the other ponies to use their new personalities to round up the Frazzits and once they were back in the barrel, everyone's minds were restored.

Gingerbread and Shady are competing in the Earth Pony jumping finals with a crowd of their friends watching the games when Spike runs onto the track terrified. He's being chased by a young boy with a sword riding a camel. Seeing this, Whizzer and North Star go after the boy, knocking him off his steed and he surrenders when Megan puts her foot on his sword. Naturally, he thought slaying a dragon would be perfect, trying to kill Spike was anything but a good deed in the eyes of his friends. They decide that Alonso deserves another chance and they help him find him a different good deed to do. That night, they approach a castle surrounded by briers. But when Alonso breaks in, thinking he can rescue a damsel in distress, he learns that the briars are there for Lady Eileen's protection. Her husband, Sir Hughanuat, is recently giving up his knighthood, and has asked Moffet the wizard to find a replacement. Alonso wants the job, but Megan convinces him to leave. On the way home, Alonso finds an overturned turtle. He helps the poor old turtle, and when he is upright, he transforms into Moffet. Because of this noble deed, Moffet knights Alonso.
