"Baby, It's Cold Outside"
(shown in two parts)

Edgar and Sonny
One morning, the baby ponies wake up to unseasonable snow on the ground and go out to play. Truly and North Star play with them while Galaxy has her suspicions about the sudden change in the weather. Meanwhile, a little penguin named Edgar and his best friend, Sonny the duck are hurrying back to Edgar's home to find out why it's so cold. They find out that the snow is being caused by Edgar's father, King Charlatan, who believes that only those who can survive the cold are worth of living.
Ponyland freezing over
He plans to freeze the world over and get rid of anyone who can't. Charlatan begins by using his icy stare to freeze Sonny to keep him influencing Edgar. He continues by freezing all of Ponyland including the waterfall that is closing in on the Baby Sea Ponies. They warn the Little Ponies, who notice that the rainbow is freezing over too. Galaxy decides that Megan can help, and the pegasi all attempt to fly over the rainbow.

Finally, Surprise succeeds and brings Megan to Ponyland. Surprise, Megan, Galaxy, Sundance, and North Star then begin to head north where it's the coldest, and where the source of the storm may be.
King Charlaton's palace
While crossing the frozen river, Surprise sees Surf Rider and Sea Shimmer beneath the surface who want the ponies to follow them. They find their way into Charlatan palace, but are lost. They are cornered by the guards, and placed in the dungeon. Galaxy tries to melt the barn with her horn, and Edgar asks her if she can help him thaw Sonny out. When a guard arrives, Edgar tells him that Megan and the ponies are his prisoners, but he actually helps them escape and leads them to the throne room. King Charlatan can't believe it when Edgar confront him. When Charlatan tries to freeze the ponies, he accidentally aims his icy stare at Edgar, freezing him.

Charlatan is devastated for doing this to his own son, especially since his stare is irreversible. But the love in his tears melt way the ice, and bring Edgar back to like. Seeing this, Galaxy magnified the heat from her horn with Charlatan's machine, and melted everything that had been frozen, including Sonny. With Edgar's help, his father would now be known as Good King Charlatan.

"Crunch the Rockdog"
(shown in two parts)

Wind Whsitler - no feelings?
The Baby Ponies are enjoying a bedtime story told by Paradise with an ending that left a little pony named Valentine longing for her true love who had to leave her just as the sun was setting. Everyone was moved by this sad and touching story, except Wind Whistler who found it illogical to begin a long journey at night. Gusty and Buttons accused her of having no feelings, and Wind Whistler ran away. Meanwhile, a group of Bushwoolies were being pursued by Crunch the Rockdog, a large, emotionless bulldog made of rock. He touched several Bushwoolies and turned them into stone. One escaped and ran into Wind Whistler, Megan, and Danny. He alert everyone of th situation and all the ponies panic. Wind Whistler advises them to stay calm, and only Megan agrees. They go to see the Moochick, but he's never heard of Crunch the Rockdog. When he hears that Crunch is from the purple mountain, he sends to speak to His Elevated Eminence. As they near the Purple Mountain, Danny tries to command Crunch, but Crunch doesn't respond to traditional canine commands. With their cover blown, Megan and the ponies run. When Gusty tries to stall Crunch and his rock creatures, she is turned to stone.

Crunch the Rockdog
Wind Whistler, still seemingly devoid of feelings, suggests that they move on and leave Gusty behind. Megan and Danny agree, and they all run until they reach the Purple Mountains. When they ask about His Elevated Eminence, they discover that he is actually a living, sentient part of the mountain. He explained Crunch's situation. He was created as a guardian of the heartstone, however, we was never given a heart of his own. Realizing his mistake too late, His Eminence could nothing to stop Crunch because of the piece of black lava rock that made him indestructible, and enables his to turn anything into stone. His Eminence led the ponies inside him to remove the heartstone, being that it was the only thing that could defeat Crunch. But when they did, His Eminence turned against them, since the heartstone is usually used to give him his feelings.

Megan reveals the Heartstone
When they escape, they meet up with Crunch. Wind Whistler shocks everyone, by revealing that she doesn't care what he does to them. But when he turns Truly into stone, Crunch sees Wind Whistler cry and doesn't believe her anymore. But she then carries Megan to him as his next victim. But since Megan carries the heartstone, Crunch runs. Megan aims the heartstone at him, and its power hits the black lava in Crunch's collar, turning him into a powerless, but nasty little puppy. This also restores everyone and everything that was turned to stone. But with a little piece of the heartstone placed in his collar, Crunch once again becomes a giant Rockdog, but now with feelings. Megan and the others return the heartstone and His Elevated Eminence returns to normal. Back at the estate, the little ponies realize that Wind Whistler's logic was what helped them, and that she really did have feelings.

"The Revolt of Paradise Estate"
(shown in two parts)

'Never look a gift pony in the mouth'
Furniture come to life!
When Paradise is trying to tell a story to Sweet Stuff and Baby Cuddles, Cherries Jubilee interrupts and asks why she hasn't repaired Paradise Estate yet. Every room was falling apart and needed work, and Paradise's loud acting out of the story just made things worse. Sweet Stuff and Paradise begin the repairs, but the estate is beyond repair, and they don't even have any decent tools. While retiling the roof, Paradise complains that things are never this hard in fairy tales. Finally, she and Sweet Stuff decide it's time to buy some new tools. On their way, they meet up with a mysterious man named Beezen. He had just what they needed, but gives them a free can of magic paint instead. When they get back at the estate, Cherries Jubilees think Paradise is crazy for believing in magic paint. But surprisingly, it works; everything the pant touches is magically restores. But even stranger, all the furniture also comes to life. Even Baby Cuddles' buggy is now her best friend. But to live with furniture that is also alive becomes too much for the little ponies. The furniture becomes hostile and demanding to the point where they drive the ponies out of their own home. But when Paradise tries to get Baby Cuddles to leave, she refuses to leave her Baby Buggy, who hasn't turned evil.

Baby Cuddles and her buggy
The little ponies decide that the only way to get their home back is to find Beezen and get him to reverse the paint's effects. But Baby Cuddles sneaks away to go back to her buggy. The other furniture tries to drive them both away. On the road, Beezen is nowhere to be found. Ironically, he has just arrived at Paradise Estate and enslaves all the furniture. When the little ponies still find him, they ask the Moochick for help. He shows them what's going on at home, and they see the furniture, now frightened under Beezen's control. The Moochick explains that he planned to give the ponies the paint in order to steal their home. The ponies vow to get their home back, and are welcomed back by the furniture who realize how good they had it when the ponies lived there. Both the furniture and the ponies fight Beezen, but fail when Beezen starts turning the furniture back to normal. In a final attempt, Paradise dumps the whole can of magic paint on Beezen's magic wand, and brings it to life. The wand immediately turns again Beezen, and drives him away.

With everything back to normal, the little ponies can finish their repairs on the estate. And even though Baby Cuddles' buggy is no longer alive, she can still feel its love.

"Through the Door"
(shown in two parts)

The Golden Door
One day, North Star, Paradise, and Lofty are exploring in the mountains when they find a large door. It has a "Keep Out" sign on it, but North Star is curious as to what's inside. Paradise remembers the story of the Golden Door and warns North Star of the dangers inside. She told how a monster was sealed inside the cave by a sorcerer. The Golden Door was the entrance to the Land of Legends where the monster now resides with several famous legendary and storybook characters. But if no one passed through the door, the beast would remain inside and never become free to once again terrorize Ponyland. But as Paradise left, North Star opened it (without passing through it). When there was nothing inside, she closed it behind her and she and Lofty left. But the door opened again, and an arrow shot out of it. It belonged to Robin Hood.
Heart Throb meets her Prince Charming
He along with his Merry Men and many other legends then started filing out though the door. Everyone including Chaharazad, Paul Bunyon and Babe, Aladdin, Prince Charming and Hercules stepped out into Ponyland. Hercules closed the door just before the monster followed them out.

In Ponyland, the legends are soon making themselves at home. Heart Throb is talking Paradise, longing to find her true love but when Prince Charming arrives, he is more in love with his reflection than anything else. Buttons acquired Aladdin's lamp, but the Genie inside is so picky that only Wind Whistler can translate what Lickety Split wants wants before he can fill her order on their picnic. Robin is even beginning to annoy Lofty and North Star by showing off his archery skills. But when he misses a shot, it;s the start of a disturbing pattern.
'Born to be a Monster'
At the same time Heart Throb passes though the Golden Door in search of her Prince Charming. Leaving the door open she allows the monster to escape. Also, Hercules loses his strength, Prince Charming finds a pimple on his perfect face, and the Genie's wish request backfires. Even Megan know something's wrong when she finds all the pages in her storybooks blank. Paradise suddenly arrives and tells her what's been going on. Megan brings a few books with her and she and Paradise go back to Ponyland. Just then, the monster attacks. But Megan notices that he is a slow and slightly stupid creature. The Baby Ponies yell at him and her starts crying. Megan figures that monster only acts mean because that is his role in several stories, just like the other legends have their roles in literature. When Heart Throb tells them that the land of Legends is falling apart, Megan insists that they go back and reclaim their roles. But they refuse to take the monster with them. She explains that he must go since he is part of their legends and that he is really harmless. When everyone is inside, the Land of Legends is restored as well as their abilities. The words and pictures reappear in Megan's books, allowing to legends to live on in print.
