 Year 6 was another good year for My Little Pony. It was a year of firsts and lasts as we saw the last of the Baby Sea Ponies, but we saw several ponies with fun new features including scented ponies, growing tails, and ponies that magically changed colors and symbols. There was a return of a lot of older pony poses (molds), however, this was the year when ponies were no longer shown in their poses in the pictures on the backs of their cards and boxes.
Although this was the last year for Twice As Fancy Ponies, several ponies to come would still have their symbols extend all over their bodies. Like Year 5, this year's Twice As Fancy Ponies all had pretty designs on their sides and back and a smaller version on their forehead or under one eye. Each pony had standard-length mane and tail, and came with a brush, comb, or pick and hair ribbon.
Merriweather (Earth pony) is dark purple with (straight) yellow-green hair, and yellow-green eyes. Her symbol is pink/yellow/purple rainbows, some with a white cloud on each end, some with a cloud on one end. She has a rainbow with one cloud under her right eye.
Buttons (unicorn) is yellow-green with (?wavy/curly) blue hair, and blue eyes. Her symbol is white & pink buttons and pink bows. She has a pink bow on her forehead (below her horn).
Night Glider (Earth pony) is blue with (straight) white hair, and light purple eyes. Her body is covered with astronomical symbols including purple ringed planets, white stars, yellow crescent moons, and yellow and purple (round) moons, stars and moons. She has a yellow crescent moon and two white stars under her left eye.
Bonnie Bonnets (Earth Pony; Parasol's pose) is mauve with curly white hair, and mint green eyes. Her symbol is yellow and white bonnets decorated with blue & white flower and/or blue ribbon mixed together with yellow, blue, and white flowers. On her forehead is a yellow & blue flower. has bonnets and flowers.
Yum Yum (pegasus) is white with (straight) pink hair, and light purple eyes. She has all different kinds of wrapped and unwrapped candies or various shapes and sizes, in color combinations of pink, red, and purple and her symbol. She has a piece of candy in a red wrapper with purple dots under her left eye.
Munchy (Earth pony) is yellow with (straight) coral hair, and light green eyes. Her symbol is hot dogs (orange dog on a tan seeded bun with green relish), hamburgers (orange burger on a tan seeded bun with green lettuce), green pickle chips (w/white seeds), and tan french fries (w/orange catsup). She has a hot dog under her left front eye.
As the second set of Princess Ponies, these ponies are slightly different from the ones in Year 5. There were some similarities - the same jeweled medallions, glittery star hair picks, gold-trimmed ribbons, sparkling magic wands, and tinsel in their hair; this set of Princess Ponies also had longer (straight/wavy) manes down to their hooves. One difference was that instead of wearing damsel hats, they wore crown barrettes close to their foreheads to hold together a forelock of tinsel that spread out like a sky rocket. The crowns came in three different designs. This year's Princess Ponies also did not come with Bushwoolies.
Princess Misty (unicorn) is purple with dark pink hair (w/magenta tinsel), and blue eyes. She has a gold oblong octagon-shaped medallion, with a purple oval stone in the middle surrounded by gold round, diamond, and oval stones. She came with an aqua wand, and a blue three-pointed crown with a circle in the center.
Princess Taffeta (Earth pony) is medium blue with white hair (w/pink/blue/yellow tinsel), and pink eyes. She has a gold oval-shaped medallion with a blue diamond in the center surrounded by green round and diamond-shaped stones. She came with a yellow wand and a blue three-pointed crown with a diamond in the center.
Princess Pristina (pegasus) is green with chartreuse hair (w/green tinsel), and pink eyes. She has a pink diamond-shaped medallion, with a two-tone pink/green diamond in the center surrounded by green circles and diamonds. She has a dark pink magic wand, and a dark pink three-point crown with a diamond in the center.
Princess Moondust (Earth pony) is yellow with pink hair (w/pink tinsel), and pink eyes. She has a pink three-pointed shield-shaped medallion with a yellow jewel in the center surrounded by round yellow stones. She came with a pink wand, And a sea green three-pointed with a circle in the center.
Princess Dawn (Earth pony) is light pink with purple hair (w/purple tinsel), and yellow eyes. She has a turquoise rounded three-pointed shield-shaped medallion, with a pink round stone toward the bottom and three yellow oval jewels above the round one. She came with a light green wand, and a yellow oval-shaped crown.
Princess Sunbeam (Earth pony) is dark pink with yellow hair (w/dark pink tinsel), and lavender eyes. Her symbol; is a round silver medallion with a dark pink round jewel in the center surrounded by gold oval-shaped stones. She wears a purple oval-shaped crown, and her wand color is dark blue.
The Sundae Best Ponies were not only some of the first ponies introduced in Year 6, but they are also special because they were the very first scented ponies. They each smelled like various flavors of ice cream based on their name and symbol. They were also sold in the UK (called Ice Cream Ponies), some with different names. Their symbols were also unique being that they were raised from their bodies giving them a three-dimensional effect; each pony had a standard-length mane and tail. They also came with a special barrette either in the shape of a lollipop, an ice cream cone, or an ice cream sundae (in the UK, they were all ice cream cones), and hair ribbon. New brushes and combs were also introduced for them; a lollipop brush and a wrapped candy comb.
Banana Surprise (Earth pony) is light pink with curly aqua hair, and dark magenta eyes. Her symbol is a white & gold banana split (hearts on bowl; white whip cream/splashes), and she came with a creamy yellow sundae barrette.
Peppermint Crunch (pegasus) is mint green with (straight) purple hair, and pale lavender eyes. She has a pink & white swirled ice cream cone (pink cone/white splashes) as her symbol, and came with a pale lavender ice cream come barrette. Her pose is a variation on one that originated in Year 2, only Peppermint Crunch's mouth is closed.
Coco Berry (UK name: Chocolate Chip; unicorn) is light blue with curly pink hair, and mint green eyes. She has a has a two-scoop ice cream cone (yellow cone & sprinkles; pink ice cream/splashes) as she symbol, and she with a mint green lollipop barrette.
Crunch Berry (UK name: Cherry Berry; Earth pony) is mauve with (straight) chartreuse hair, and blue eyes. She has a mint green & white dish of ice cream symbol (spoon, hearts on dish, and white whip cream/splashes), and came with a purple ice cream cone barrette.
Swirly Whirly (UK name: Butter Kiss; Earth pony) is gold with curly gold hair, and light purple eyes. Her symbol is a pink & green double dip ice cream cone (pink come & topping/splashes; green ice cream & cherry), and she came with a dark pink lollipop barrette. While all the other Sundae Best Ponies came in earlier poses, Swirly Whirly came in a new pose that was unique to her. As shown, she stands on all four feet with her head tilted slightly to the left.
Sherbet (UK name: Sorbet Surprise; Earth pony) is purple with (straight) dark pink hair, and pink eyes. She has a pink & white dish of ice cream symbol (white dish w/purple designs; white whip cream splashes), and she came with a yellow sundae barrette.
One of the things that made ponies such fun to collect was brushing and styling their beautiful hair. In Year 6, came a set of ponies with the longest hair yet. And what made the Brush 'n Grow Ponies extra special is that their tails could grow even longer! They have multi-colored hair consisting of four different colors. Their tail starts out about the length of the average pony's tail, but when you pull it, it grows to approximately three times its original length. Then, you you could twist their head to retract the tail and make it shorter. They also have extra long (straight) manes than ran down past their hooves. They came with accessories to help keep their hair beautiful including a fancy new brush and comb, two wide ribbons, and two small barrettes shaped like a shooting star and three frilly hearts. Their symbols depicted either locks of hair or hair accessories.
Twisty Tail (Earth pony) is blue with orange/pale pink/lime green/yellow hair, and coral eyes. Her symbol is a yellow & white brush and comb set. Her barrettes include a green shooting star. A variation of Twisty Tail was made in the trotting pose (like Pretty Vision), shown (thanks to Sofie from Denmark for photo). I'm not sure where else this version was sold, but she is not from the U.S.
Braided Beauty (pegasus) is sea green with green/pale pink/yellow/white hair, and fuschia eyes. Her symbol is a pink braid symbol (w/white beaded tie). Her barrettes are a white shooting star and purple hearts.
Ringlets (Earth pony) is periwinkle with yellow/pink/dark purple/blue hair, and gold eyes. Her symbol is a yellow headband with a flower decoration. Her barrettes were a pink shooting star and cerulean blue hearts.
Bouquet (unicorn) is white with yellow/pink/aqua/neon orange hair, and aqua eyes. Her symbol is an orange hat symbol (w/blue bow). Her barrettes are a purple shooting star and pink hearts.
Pretty Vision (Earth pony) is yellow with red/bright green/pale pink/blue hair, and fuschsia eyes. Her symbol is a red & blue hand mirror (w/blue bow). Her barrettes are green hearts and a blue shooting star.
Curly Locks (pegasus) is light pinkish-purple with white/yellow/blue/pale pink hair, and blue eyes. Her symbol is a yellow lock of hair symbol tied with a blue bow. Her barrettes include white hearts.
In Year 7, there was a royal new collection called Princess Brush 'n Grow Ponies.
Happy Tails Ponies were the ponies you can hug and they could show you that they love you back by twirling their tails. Just gently squeeze their sides (above their front legs), and their tails start to twirl! Their manes are either straight or curly (standard-length), but their tails are all curly and shorter than average, with a ring with a colored ring with raised hearts around the tail. They came with special accessories for their hair including a bird pick with a false lock of hair and a squirrel shaped ring that fits around their tails. They also came with a brush, comb, or pick and a hair ribbon. All the Happy Tails Ponies have a pair of animals as their symbol.
Woosie (Earth pony) is aqua with curly yellow hair (pink tail ring), and gold eyes. Her symbol is two yellow mice talking. She came with a pale purple bird pick with pink hair and sea green squirrel. There is also another version of Woosie who was not sold in the U.S. Her body is lavender, and her eyes and mice symbol are dark pink, but her hair is still yellow and her tail ring is still pink.
Tossles (Earth pony) is pink with aqua hair (straight mane; yellow tail ring), and blue eyes. Her symbol is two white bears, one giving a flower to the other. She came with a dark blue bird pick with red hair and purple squirrel clip.
Squeezer (Earth pony) is blue with curly pink hair (purple tail ring), and pink eyes. Her symbol is two yellow puppies playing. She came with a white bird pick with dark blue hair, and dark pink squirrel clip.
Tall Tales (pegasus) is yellow with blue curly hair (lavender tail ring), and purple eyes. Her symbol is two pink giraffes approaching each other. She came with a yellow bird pick with dark pink hair bird and white squirrel clip.
Romper (Earth pony) is purple with pink curly hair (mint green tail ring), and light green eyes. Her symbol is two pink rabbits sitting together. She came with a dark pink bird pick with chartreuse hair and dark blue squirrel clip.
Tabby (unicorn) is medium pink with red hair (straight mane; sea green tail ring), and yellow-green eyes. Her symbol is and has two blue kitties in love. She came with a green bird pick with yellow hair and white squirrel clip.
Magic Message Ponies have symbols that look like the ones most ponies have, but they are really very different. They have the same symbol on each side, but when they are gently rubbed, a different picture appears on each side. However, over the years, their symbols may not be able to change anymore. Also all Magic Message Ponies have standard-length manes and tails, a colored streak in their manes, and a small interpretation of their symbol under one eye. They each came with a brush or comb and hair ribbon.
Windy (UK name: Magical Breeze; Earth pony) is pinkish-purple with (?wavy/curly) coral hair w/chartreuse streak, and green eyes. She has a green & yellow tree symbol which reveals apples on one side and a kite on the other in the foliage. She has a tiny pink kite bow under her right eye.
Cuddles (UK name: Teddi; Earth pony) is light blue with curly yellow hair w/pink streak, and light green eyes. Her symbol is a yellow teddy bear (pink outline) who has a flower on his stomach (red before rubbed) on one side and a heart on the other. She has a pink bow under her right eye.
Mirror Mirror (Earth pony) is sea green with (?straight/wavy) light green w/coral streak, and pale pink eyes. Her symbol is a yellow mirror with one side reflecting a princess and the other reflecting a witch; red before rubbed. She has a tiny yellow mirror frame under her right eye.
Floater (pegasus) is yellow with (straight) melon pink hair w/light green streak, and pink eyes. She has two special messages hidden underneath her three balloons symbol (two dark pink/one dark green). One side spells out "I love ice cream" and the other says "I love you" in pictures. She has a pink balloon under her right eye.
Magic Hat (Earth pony) is white with (straight) purple hair w/red streak, and blue eyes. Her symbol is a purple top hat with a purple puff of smoke (and green sparks) coming out of the hat. Underneath, a rabbit comes out of one side, and a chick out of the other. She has a purple magic wand under her left eye.
Cloud Dreamer (unicorn) is coral with (straight) white hair w/green streak, and pale blue eyes. She has a dark blue cloud and when rubbed, there is a dragon on one side and a castle on the other. Next to the blue cloud, is a tiny white cloud, and one under her right eye.
