Aside from the Butterfly Island collection, several other sets of ponies are part of 2005. Made up mainly of reissued ponies and exclusives, there are also some new faces including a new Perfectly Pony set, playsets and accessories. This line also features the newest pony poses.

Note: The 2005 MLP pages are incomplete until further notice.

Dress-up Daywear (Wing Wishes)

Wing Wishes
This set of familiar ponies have a new look and are in new poses (unless otherwise noted). Fluttershy, Toola Roola, Minty, and Blossomforth (Toys R Us only) are dressed a butterflies (but oddly are not part of the Butterfly Island collection; regular pink packaging). They sort of look like overachieving Summer/Windy Wing Ponies with huge fabric wings (decorated with designs based on their Cutie Marks; held on with an elastic ring), large plastic antennae (both detachable), heart-shaped bracelet, magic wand, and brush (with raised bow design). Though Wing Wishes Ponies are sold in most stores, in Toys R Us, they are packaged with a free pony, all of which were previously issued (same poses). All the ponies, Wing Wishes and free ponies, are the same colors as the originals. In the first Butterfly Island booklet, this set of ponies was listed as 'Wishing Wings' which, in my opinion, didn't sound as good. Each Wing Wishes pony is worth 3 Pony Points; the free ponies are worth 2 Pony Points.
Toola Roola (free pony: Meadowbrook) is now in Minty's original pose, and her Cutie Mark is now on her right side and her heart is still on her left hoof. Toola Roola's wings are pinkish-purple wings with bluish-purple outlines and hearts and green swirls. Underneath, the wings are iridescent pink with purple elastic. Her accessories are mint green; the bracelet and wand have a pink swirl design with bluish-green hearts. Her brush is pinkish-purple (more pink).
Also available: Fluttershy (with Doseydotes), Minty (with Tea Leaf), and Blossomforth (with Spring Fever)

Dress-up Daywear

Dress-up Daywear
I found this newest set of ponies and fashions all the way in Minnesota while I was there for the MLP Fair. The three ponies have all been previously released, however two of them (Shenanigans and Sweetsong) were just as quickly discontinued in 2004, though these versions are in different poses. The third (Pinkie Pie) is in her (previously issued) second pose. Each pony comes with an outfit, accessories, and a brush (raised flower design) and are worth three Pony Points (Frilly Frocks). Pony colors and symbols are the same as the original ponies unless otherwise noted.
Dress-up Daywear

Study Break with Shenanigans is a back-to-school outfit (Shenanigans pony history classes sound a lot more interesting than anything I every studied!) She is wearing a soft white dress with pink trim and pink & white gingham skirt and soft pink beret. Her accessories include a light pink heart ring, dark pink schoolbag (with light pink heart design), purple book (with light pink heart design), two apples, and a light blue brush. Because of her pose, Shenanigans' hot-air balloon Cutie Mark is now on her left hip, but her heart is still on her left hoof.
Bubble Bath Time with Sweetsong is a very relaxed-looking pony in her terry bathrobe and towel turban. She is in a brand new pose, but otherwise the same as the original (Cutie Mark and heart on same side [left]). Her bathrobe is sea green with white trim and her hair towel is white. She comes with two pale pink curlers, pale pink powder puff, dark pink (transparent) bubble bath bottle (with with while bubbles spilling out), yellow rubber duckie, and lavender brush (bow design).
Also available: Whimsical Winter with Pinkie Pie

Super-long Hair

Super-long Hair
I believe this set of two Super-long Hair ponies is as hard to find as those in the past year, including the elusive Dream Blue and Rainbowberry. I first saw Silver Lining and Dibble Dabble in the Mall of America (overpriced at 9.99!), and have so far only seen Silver Lining once at Wal-Mart (don't know where else they are, but others have had difficulty finding these ponies also). Both are also Jewel Ponies, with a round jewel in the center of their Cutie Mark. Each pony comes with one ribbon barrette, tiara, and brush (raised flower design) and are worth 3 (Frilly Frocks) Pony Points each.
Super-long Hair
Silver Lining, who once burned dinner but was happy to eat out, has a pearly pink body with light purple hair (w/iridescent tinsel)...in the later bonus packs, her hair is slightly darker. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a clear (colorless) jewel with a white border as a sun with white, silver, and purple rays (and silver/white stars). The sun is above two white clouds (purple outlines). She has lavender eyes with pink highlights and silver stars. Her heart (right hoof) is purple. Silver Lining is wearing a blue tiara, and has a blue star-shaped barrette (with a pink center and purple base) with pink, blue, & pale blue ribbons, and has a pink brush.
Dibble Dabble, who paints with her tail, has a pearly dark purple body with dark pink and yellow hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a pink jewel with a yellow border as a large dab of paint on an orange pallet (with smaller pink & yellow dabs), a pink paintbrush (darker pink bristles), and pink flowers surrounding it. She has blue eyes with light blue highlights and dark pink hearts. Her heart (left hoof) is yellow. Dibble Dabble is wearing a dark pink tiara, and has an orange flower-shaped barrette (with a dark pink center and purple base) with pink, blue, & yellow ribbons, and has a dark purple brush.
Both Dibble Dabble and Silver Lining were repackaged shortly after their release with a second pony from the later 2005 Perfectly Pony set, marked "Value Pack" (heart sticker) and still only priced at $6.77 (Wal-mart Super-long Hair price). Dibble Dabble is packaged with a choice of Bunches-o-Fun or Fair Weather and Silver Lining is packaged with either Alphabittle or Twilight Twinkle.

Frilly Frocks Boutique

Frilly Frocks Boutique
A playset with a very notable pony, the Frilly Frocks Boutique is one of the few playsets that has yet to be duplicated into another (as of early 2006 by the time I found it on clearance). And Frilly Frocks is known for representing the second incarnation of G3 pony points, as well as being briefly available as a huge mail-order plush pony (lucky collectors who have one of these!!). Ironically, the 6 points on the Frilly Frocks Boutique box are the older Pony Points. I don't really have the room to open playsets at the moment, so descriptions below are based on the box.
The small playset are two panels that close and hold the various accessories. The entrance is a purple panel with a blue roof and a fancy pink floral eye mask above the arch. The blue door swings open for ponies to enter (decorated with decal that says 'Boutique'). The other half is blue with a purple roof , decorated with flowers and a flower bed beneath the window (greenery in a pink bed); the designs are coated with iridescent glitter. The only large accessory is a pink & green sewing machine on a dark pink & purple base what can be activated by any pony's magnetic hoof (she can sew a piece of metallic pink material). Pink drawers inside the building also open with a pony's touch. Smaller accessories include a dark pink metallic cape, blue metallic skirt (w/pink trim), 4 pink scalloped swirl shoes, purple fashion glasses, blue necklace, blue flower barrette, purple star tiara, and a pink bow brush.
Frilly Frocks, has a white (non-pearly) body with pink, bright red, and light purple hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a decorated pink mask (dark purple outline). The heart on her left hoof is pink. She has light purple eyes with light pink highlight and blue heart.
