Autumn Crisp

So many ponies were released in 2005, they are continued on this page. Later, the year included second sets of ponies issued earlier in the year. Ponies on this page came out starting is approximately mid-late Summer 2005, continuing to release more and more on into the holiday and early 2006.

Note: The 2005-06 MLP pages are no longer updated.

Perfectly Pony (2005, Set Two [New Friends])

This set of four Perfectly Ponies, or New Friends as indicated by the flower sticker on some boxes was issued in mid-late 2005. This set was in the 2005 booklet and includes a Jewel Pony, a Sparkle Pony, a Glitter Celebration Pony, and a Rainbow Celebration Pony, making this the first set to have four entirely different ponies, as well as pony types (Jewel, Sparkle) originally from another set as part of a Perfectly Pony collection. These ponies were soon repackaged, included in a Value Pack with the two 2005 Super-long Hair ponies, noted below. Each Perfectly Pony comes with brush and is worth 2 Pony Points (Frilly Frocks).
Perfectly Pony

Twilight Twinkle (Jewel Pony), who enjoys watching fireflies, has a pearly purple body with pink, blue, and purple hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a a round blue jewel with a dark pink border, the center of a large dark pink and white flower-shaped sparkle, surrounded by small white sparkles. She has blue eyes with a double light and pale blue highlight and pink stars. Her heart (right hoof) is blue. Her brush (flower) is purple. Twilight Twinkle is packaged with Silver Lining.
Bunches-o-Fun (Sparkle Pony), who builds dollhouses, has a pearly pink body with aqua hair (w/iridescent tinsel). Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a bouquet of flowers (pink, yellow, white, blue) wrapped in white paper with a blue bow and a blue & pink bug flying out of them. The symbol is covered in iridescent glitter, as is her nose & forehead. She has sea green eyes with blue highlights and pink hearts. Her heart (right hoof) is blue. Her brush (flower) is white. Bunches-o-Fun is packaged with Dibble Dabble.
Fair Weather (Glitter Celebration Pony), who loves hot-air balloon rides, has a pale aqua body with light purple hair (w/iridescent tinsel). Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is three white (pink-outlined) clouds. She has blue eyes with a lighter blue highlight and pink hearts. Her heart (left hoof) is pink. Her brush (flower) is pale aqua. Fair Weather is packaged with Dibble Dabble.
Alphabittle (Rainbow Celebration Pony), who finds poems in her alphabet soup, has a pearly pale yellow body with rainbow hair (blue, green, yellow, dark pink, coral). Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a bowl of alphabet soup (orange broth with pink letters, in a blue bowl and dark pink spoon). Swirls of tan steam and letters a, b, and c (white, pink outline) hover above the bowl. She has blue eyes with sea green highlights and dark pink stars. Her heart (right hoof) is light orange. Her brush (flower) is light yellow. Alphabittle is packaged with Silver Lining.

Baby Ponies (Target [Set Two])

It seems that individually-carded baby ponies will continue to be exclusive to Target, as these two babies are the second set to be released in late Summer 2005. Still no pictures of the pony on the backcard; the single baby pony is worth one Pony Point (Frilly Frocks). They each come with a sun hat and a brush (w/raised bow design) and are each wearing a printed sun visor. In the UK, these two ponies as well as one other baby [Surf Star] are each packaged with the Seaside Celebration Ponies, noted below (Surf Star is packaged with Wysteria). Apparently the babies ponies are unnamed on those packages, and each baby wears an accessory in the same material as the adult Seaside pony rather than the Target visors.

Baby Ponies
Sandy Island has a white (non-pearly) body with dark pink, coral, and aqua hair mane (only dark pink & aqua in her tail). Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a yellow pail with a dark pink shovel and two sea green swirls. Her heart (left hoof) is dark pink. She has dark magenta eyes with a light pink highlight and light yellow dot. Her brush is white. Sandy Island is wearing a yellow visor with bright multi-colored flowers, shapes, and leaves. Sandy Island is packaged with Cherry Blossom.
Hula Lula has a purply-pink (non-pearly) body with coral, yellow, and aqua mane (only yellow & coral in her tail). Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is two palm trees (green leaves w/light orange trunks) and a yellow & orange sun. Her heart (right hoof) is red-orange. She has dark blue eyes with a light blue highlight and light yellow dot. Her brush is pinkish-purple. Hula Lula is wearing a white visor with light pink flowers (w/yellow centers & light green stems) and dark pink dots. Hula Lula is packaged with Bumblesweet.
Between the two baby ponies, they are learning hula dances and going sailing!

Kimono (KB)

Kimono (KB)
Since all KB stores in my area went out of business, I did not know of any ponies exclusive to that store until I was on vacation in South Jersey (about a year since Pick-a-Lilly and Sunny Salsa were introduced). In October 2005, I found Kimono, individually packaged in a different pose and free with any MLP purchase of $10 or more (got mine with Seaspray and Breezie). Otherwise, she is $2.99; this offer is like KB's 2004 pony Pepperberry. Kimono has no picture on her backcard, and her colors are not very different from the original. She has the same pearly mauve body with dark purple hair (iridescent tinsel), yellow Japanese lantern Cutie Mark and yellow heart (both still in right side). Her eyes are the same, green w/yellow green highlight, but with white hearts instead of pale pink. Her brush is mauve. Like Pepperberry, Kimono does not carry any Pony Points.

(Family Dollar Ponies)

These four ponies were sold exclusively at Family Dollar stores in late 2005, and a bargain at only $3 each (as noted by the sticker on their package). Each pony is carded (rather than in a box), with a picture and description on the back. Each pony has single-colored hair with iridescent tinsel, comes with a brush (flower design), and is worth 2 Points (Frilly Frocks).

Family Dollar Ponies

Misty Blue has a white (non-pearly) body with blue hair. Her Cutie Mark (white hip) is three two-tone bluebells, in front of light blue swirls. Her heart (right hoof) is cornflower blue. She has lavender eyes with a light yellow highlight and light blue dots. Her brush is white.
Autumn Crisp has a pearly purple body with gold hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a wrapped light yellow hay bale and a light orange pumpkin and three falling leaves. Her heart (left hoof) is light yellow. She has pink eyes with a light yellow highlight and light yellow hearts. Her brush is purple.
Peachie Keen has a pearly yellow body with coral hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is two two-tone peaches (peach/coral) and three flowers of the same color. Her heart (left hoof) is coral. She has medium pink eyes with a peach highlight and light peach heart. Her brush is yellow.
Strawberry Sunset has a pearly pink body with yellow hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a three red strawberries (w/light green stems). Her heart (left hoof) is light yellow. She has dark pink eyes with a light yellow highlight and pale pink dots. Her brush is pink.

Winter Series III (Target)

For the third year in a row, Target is offering three exclusive Winter Ponies. And in the 2005 collection, a favorite 2003 pony, Minty, is part of the group since she stars in the DVD release, "A Very Minty Christmas". Each pony wears an outfit similar to the 2003 Winter Ponies, also coming with a brush (raised bow), and are worth 2 Pony Points (Frilly Frocks). They first appeared in stores in October 2005, shortly before the release of the video.

Winter Ponies (2005)
Minty is in the same pose as the original 2003 version. Her body is a deeper pearly green while her pink & white hair (w/iridescent tinsel). Her three-mint Cutie Mark (right side) seems to have gotten brighter and pinker with each reissue, with this version having bright pink swirls (instead of the original deep red) among the original green and white. Her heart (right hoof) is the same bright pink. Her yes are the same (purple, pink highlights, light pink dots). Minty is wearing a striped scarf (pink, yellow, mint green, white) with pink fringe, four socks (which likely took all day to match!) with the same colored stripes with white faux fur trim. Her brush is mint green.
Sno-Glo, who always makes a grand entrance, has a pearly pale pink body with coral hair (no tinsel in her single hair color, which is unusual for a G3 pony). Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a white package with a dark pink bow (purple-outlined), with two green swirls behind it. Her eyes are green with a lighter green highlight and pink hearts. Sno-Glo is wearing a satin green hood with white faux fur trim and pom-poms. Her brush is pale pink.
Toboggan, a champion snow-sledder, has a pearly purple body with white, light blue, and darker cerulean hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a white snowflake (blue-outlined), surrounded by white sparkles. Her eyes are green with a lighter green highlight and pink hearts. Sno-Glo is wearing a satin green hood with white faux fur trim and pom-poms. Her eyes are light blue with a medium blue highlight and white dots. Toboggan is wearing a very long striped stocking cap (white, blue, and pink) with white faux fur trim and pom-pom. Her brush is light purple.

(Winter Baby Ponies [Pretty Pony Fashions])

For the first time, two baby ponies join the Winter Series adults for Christmas 2005. However, little is know about these two ponies, as few people have seen them in stores, rumored to be exclusive to a store called Meijer (a chain located in the midwest U.S.). The picture was sent to me from a collector who purchased them from eBay, but did not have information about where they were originally bought, if they have names (none are noted on the packages, but do come up on when scanned at the register, noted below), or if their packaging indicated being exclusive to any one store. They are said to have been recalled (for reasons unknown, however it was said that all winter ponies are supposed to be exclusive to Target [these two have not been seen there]), and no longer register in the Meijers store computers. Their release was said to have been for 2006, but it is unknown whether that refers to January 2006 or next year, December 2006.
Their photos and descriptions are below, but if you have any further info about these ponies, please e-mail me. Thanks! (Thanks to Usoyami and Elizabeth Clem for the info on these ponies)

Winter Baby Ponies (2005)
The first baby (scanned as Jingle Jangle) is white non-pearly body) with bright red and yellow hair. Her Cutie Mark (right side) is a red ribbon with three round yellow bells, surrounded by a holly leaf/berries and yellow sparkles. Her eyes are green with a yellow green highlight and dark pink dots. She is wearing a blue-and-pink pattered stocking cap (similar to 2004 Marshmellow Coco's hat, only smaller), with white faux pom-poms on the tip and strings, and four white faux fur boots.
The second baby (scanned as Ribbons and Bows), has a pearly pink body with bright red and white hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a dark pink and red-and-white-striped bow, surrounded by white snowflakes. Her eyes are purple with a lighter purple highlight and dark pink dot. She is wearing a red santa hat (w/white faux fur trim) and four white faux fur boots.

Valentine's Day Ponies II (Target)

Valentine's Day Ponies
The second set of Valentine's Day Ponies arrived in early 2006 in Target, and like 2005, are both packaged beautifully on a card decorated with hearts with a heart-shaped bubble (also indented with square for the new "Target (red w/white bulleye) Exclusive" sticker). Like many new ponies, their cards have the diamond-shaped Crystal Princess background in dark pink. Each pony comes with a pretty Valentine's Day costume and brush (with raised bow design). They even have cute corresponding names, are both pictured on the backcard, and are in some of the newest poses. These ponies have no points on their packages; ironically, the 2005 Valentine ponies were some of the first to carry the changed Frilly Frocks points.
Wish-I-May has a pearly pink body with dark pink, white, and pink hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is three heart-shaped lollipops (dark pink, red, light pink), tied together with a red ribbon, and two tiny red hearts. Her heart (left hoof) is dark pink. She has light purple eyes with a pink highlight and light pink hearts. Wish-I-May is wearing a pair of cupid wings (light pink w/ white heart patterns and red heart stitching in center) and a pink beaded necklace with a white heart charm. Her brush is pink.
Wish-I-Might has a white (non-pearly) body with medium pink, light pink, and dark red hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is an open red heart-shaped box of candy, tied with a pink ribbon (with dark red chocolates inside!), with tiny pink hearts and red swirls. Her heart (left hoof) is red. She has light purple eyes with a pink highlight and pale green hearts. Wish-I-Might is wearing a sheer light red skirt with pink heart lace, and she also comes with a large pink bag with dark pink heart closure. Her brush is white.

Baby Ponies (Target; set three)

Baby Ponies
The third set of two Target Exclusive Baby Ponies was issued in late 2005-early 2006, not widely available. I've noticed with these ponies that they are more likely to be found in the check-out lines than in the regular MLP section (that's where I found this set as well as the last one). Both ponies have jewelry-based names and Cutie Marks, and each is wearing a small mesh tutu and comes with a bow brush. They have a story, but no picture on the backcard, and are each worth 1 Frilly Frocks point.
Charm Bracelet has a pink (non-pearly) body with gold, orange, white, and light purple hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a gold (yellow w/gold outline) open heart charm with a blue flower and pink swirls on the bottom. Her heart (right hoof) is yellow. She has dark purple eyes with a light purple and light light hearts. Charm Bracelet is wearing a light purple tutu and her brush is pink.
Lavender Locket has a purple (non-pearly) body with dark pink, white, and aqua hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a white locket (purple outlined) with a pink cord, decorated with a pink heart and purple swirls. There are two green leaves next to it. Her heart (left hoof) is magenta. She has dark blue eyes with a light blue highlight and pink hearts. Lavender Locket is wearing a white tutu and her brush is light purple.
Together, the two ponies are picking wildflowers and looking for shooting stars!
