Starting in Spring 2004, more new ponies and playsets appeared, none of which have been featured in any new MLP booklet, which still show the later 2003 ponies and accessories.Note: The 2004 MLP page 2 is incomplete until further notice.

The Spring Basket is a special set of ponies and accessories available for Spring 2004. A large pink bucket is packaged beneath a clear molded handle with a backdrop of an Easter basket-style handle and on top stand three new ponies on a layer of dark green, paper Easter grass. While the ponies are all unique to this set, the Springtime accessories, which include items for gardening and picnics in a store-like set up, are borrowed from the Bloomin' Blossoms Shop (as well as others), but in different colors. The Spring Basket is worth 6 Pony points. Each pony has a circular, similar Cutie Mark (hip symbol) and are the first non-white colored ponies who do not have pearly bodies. Each has two-color hair, with their manes divided into repeating vertical streaks.
Garden Glade is purple with orangy-gold & chartreuse hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a yellow circle (w/yellow & orange frame) and a smiling flower inside. Her heart (right hip) is orange. She has olive green eyes with a paler olive highlight and orange star.
Bubblecup is cornflower blue with yellow & white hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a yellow circle (orange & white outline) with pink bubble wand and several bubbles inside. Her heart (left hoof) is yellow. Her eyes are cerulean blue with a light blue highlight and light blue circle.
Wishawhirl is light orange with dark, cerulean blue & lighter blue hair. Her Cutie mark (left hip) is a blue circle (white outline) with two multi-colored pinwheels and white swirls inside. Her heart (left hoof) is blue. She has cerulean blue eyes with a light blue highlight and light orange circle.

Inside the bucket is two layers of storage space (with the use of the clear divider) for all the accessories; the bottom is lined with more Easter grass. Large accessories include a cash register (pink/purple/yellow/aqua; with working conveyer belt and magnetic drawer) and purple produce stand. For the produce stand, there are two berry baskets (one w/purple berries, one w/pink berries), assorted fruit tray, a bunch of bananas, and a tray with grapes & banana. Other smaller accessories are a picnic basket (pink & yellow), purple flower sorter (but no flowers), two purple flower pots (again, no flowers), aqua watering can, green six-pack (cans), cereal box, milk carton, oatmeal canister, two fruit can, pink water bottle, two popcorn containers, and two yellow brushes (raised flower design).

This small playset was not as widely distributed as other pony items, sold mostly at KB, but has also been spotted at Sears, as well as Target, K-Mart, and Big W stores in Australia KB exclusive. It comes with a special princess pony named Crystal Crown and her magical wishing well. Crystal Crown (said to look very much the UK pony Winter Snow) has a pearly mint green body with white hair (w/iridescent tinsel). The wishing well is various shapes of pink, white, and purple with a rose design on the front. When a pony steps on the heart piece with her magnetic hoof, the water panel in the well flips to reveal a frog prince. Crank the side handle to flip it back. Crystal Crown also comes with a sea green ruffled brush with a decorative heart design on the back and beaded handle. The Wishing Well Princess Playset is worth four Pony Points.

This case & accessory set was a Toys R Us exclusive, selling well on into 2005 (reduced to $9.98 from $14.98 in 2004). It includes a clear butterfly-shaped case (pink & purple trim with bright pink handles on top). It comes with a special pony named Avalonia and lots of accessories for catching and releasing butterflies. The set is worth 6 Pony Points.

Avalonia, who collects butterflies, has a pearly light pink body. She has a pink mane with a full length purple forelock and a mix of both colors in her tail. Her mane and tail both have iridescent tinsel. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a purple & dark pink butterfly and three flowers (lavender, yellow, blue). The heart on her hoof (left) is purple. She has light purple eyes with a pink highlight and yellow star. She's wearing a pink sun hat decorated with blue, white, and purple butterflies.
Avalonia's personal accessories include large butterfly-shaped brush (orange back) and two purple butterfly-shaped barrettes. For her adventures, she comes with a magnetic butterfly net (pink & purple), 4 pink & purple butterflies, three clear jars (with dark pink ventilated flip-top lids), and a magnetic flower base (dark pink & white) that spins up a large purple butterfly when Avalonia touches it with her hoof.

In the 80's, My Little Pony Mommies could care for life-size baby ponies with Year 5's Soft Sleepy Newborns. Now, new MLP moms can cuddle and care for baby-doll ponies of their own with these two So Soft Ponies (not to be confused with Year 4 & 5's lines of flocked little ponies). Unlike the 80's newborns, these babies actually are 'soft', having only vinyl heads. Their bodies are soft sculptured, with lace-trimmed sewn pajama top, removable diaper, and plush hind legs and booties. Each

Petal Dove (who reminded me of Sweet Dreams when I first saw her) has a pinkish-purple body with rotating vertical streaks of magenta, light purple, and pink hair in her mane (tail is a mix of these colors). Her symbol (left hip) is a pink (purple-outlined) butterfly. It is the same on her diaper. Her eyes are sea green with aqua and yellow highlights, and with the same pink butterfly (white outlined). Her pajama top is lavender with mainly purple flowers (some white) with green stems. Her booties are white. Petal Dove comes with a purple carrier with pink & white gingham trim, white mesh pocket, and that same pink-and-purple butterfly design. Her bottle is pink with a purple band and her brush is purple. In the MLP booklet, and also on some boxes, she is labeled as Baby Alive, which maybe an early name for these baby ponies. I believe that there was a human doll called Baby Alive in the 1980s or earlier, possibly made by Hasbro.
Coming soon: Rose Blossom. The So Soft Ponies are featured in their own commercial, and like others, has the original "My Little Pony, My Little Pony" theme (screen shots and lyrics coming soon!).

This set of two ponies, exclusive to K-Mart, are ready for a picnic, with accessories like those that came with Toys R Us' Picnic Celebration with Applejack set (same colors also). It is worth 6n pony points.
Port-o-Bella, who enjoys searching for woodland treasures, has a white (non-pearly) body. Her mane is dark pink, coral, and white streaks, but her tail is a mix of white, dark pink, and blue. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a light blue mushroom (solid stem, open cap) with red, orange, and light blue spots on the cap. Her eyes are blue with a lighter blue highlight and gold hearts. The heart of her left hoof is red. She is wearing a white cap with a pink lip and gold, purple, blue, and orange dots. She comes with a pink brush (w/raised bow design).
Ice cream-loving Lickity Split has a pearly purple body. With aqua, yellow, and blue hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a purple bowl with a banana split (chocolate syrup & cherry on top). Her eyes are brown with a tan highlight and purple hearts. The heart of her left hoof is yellow. She is wearing a white cap with a white fold and pink, purple, and blue stripes. She comes with a purple brush (w/raised bow design).
Their accessories include a picnic basket, three jelly sandwiches (w/attached plates), three napkins (w/attached knife & fork), three cups, soda bottle, pie, pie server (w/attached pie slice).
