Snow'el

With numerous sets of new ponies being introduced in the second half of 2004, some appearing in booklets, some not, this page will continue on into 2005 (Friendship Ball ponies and Butterfly Island will be on separate pages.)

Note: The 2004-05 MLP pages are incomplete until further notice.

Perfectly Pony (Set Two)

This four new ponies in this set, like others, include two Glitter Celebration Ponies (noted below by tinsel in hair) and two Rainbow Celebration (noted below by multi-colored hair). They each come with a brush with the raised bow design. Their boxes are in the usual colors and design with each pony's summary on the back, however, the usual "to do" list is replaced by only one activity.

Perfectly Pony

Cheerful Piccolo has a pearly blue body and bright pink hair (with iridescent tinsel). Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a white/purple/yellow piccolo, yellow & orange drum, pink & white G-clef, and yellow & white circles. The heart on her left hoof is yellow. Her eyes are purple with pink highlights and light yellow-green stars. Her brush is blue.
Attention-getting Spring Parade has a pearly, bright orange body. Her hair is yellow, pink, and light green, arranged in randomly-ordered streaks in her mane and a mix in her tail. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is white, red, yellow, and pink flowers (with green leaves). Her heart (right hoof) is yellow. Her eyes are yellow green with pale green highlights and pink stars. Her brush is bright orange.
Apple-loving Golden Delicious has a white (non-pearly) body and her hair is bright yellow, gold, light yellow, and pink in vertical streaks in her mane and a mix in her tail. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is gold-outlined yellow apple encircled in a pink open heart. The heart on her left hoof is pink. Her eyes are bright green with pale green & yellow highlights and pink hearts. Her brush is white.
Lively Cinnamon Breeze has a pearly medium pink body and bright red hair (with iridescent tinsel). Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is steaming, golden-brown cinnamon roll on a blue napkin with red tassels. The heart on her left hoof is red. Her eyes are brown with gold & pink highlights and light red stars. Her brush is reddish-pink.

Winter Series II (Target)

Following the popular Target Exclusive series of Winter Ponies in 2003, a second set was introduced in 2004, creating a challenge store-going for collectors in early November '04. While 2003's set was somewhat easier to acquire, my personal experience in finding all three 2004 Winter ponies spanned three Targets in two states on opposite ends of the U.S., none of which were in my area. It is believed that some Targets simply did not carry them while others were left with empty racks marked MLP Winter exclusives in-between an endless stock of Jewel Ponies, Sparkle Ponies, and Evening Wear dress-up. In all locations where my relatives shopped, only one of one or two ponies was found. Ironically, even the stores that did not even leave a space for these ponies carry Winter pony-decorated accessories including little girls' clothes, bags, greeting cards, etc. marked with tags alerting customers to look for the corresponding ponies in the toy aisle.
Like the 2003 set, the '04 Winter Ponies boxes are decorated with snowflakes (also labeled "Winter Series II"), rather than flowers and show the pony's description and 'to-do' list on the back. The set includes two ponies dressed for winter weather and one pony decorated with Christmas accessories and Cutie Mark. They each come with a brush with the raised bow design and are worth 2 Pony Points each.

Winter Series II
Snow'el, who enjoys building snowcastles (as opposed to sandcastles), has a pearly, bright pink body. Her hair is pink, white, and red, arranged in randomly-ordered streaks in her mane and a mix in her tail. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is white-outlined red-and-pink striped mittens, and a swirl of each color. Her heart (left hoof) is red. Her eyes are dark blue with pink highlights and light pink dots. Snow'el is wearing white faux fur earmuffs, a red-and-white striped scarf (w/white trim) and red mittens with white faux fur trim. Her brush is pinkish-lavender.
Marshmellow Coco, famous for her homemade cocoa, has a pearly, blue body. Her hair is cerulean blue, white, and pink, in alternating streaks in her mane and a mix in her tail. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a steaming cup (pink with snowflake design) of cocoa (with marshmallows!) on a white plate with three tan cookies. Her heart (left hoof) is medium blue. Her eyes are brown with tan highlights and light blue dots. Marshmellow Coco is wearing a large blue and white stocking cap (with hearts and black outlines) with while faux fur pom-poms on the top and drawstrings, and a large white felt bow (also has a small attached satin bow) on her tail. Her brush is blue.
Mistletoe, who rushes in to winter fun, has a pearly white body. Her hair is pink, red, and white, arranged in randomly-ordered streaks in her mane and a mix in her tail. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is three shiny, round Christmas balls: (red, purple, green; with silver hooks). Her heart (left hoof) is blue (matching nothing, creating a unique touch). Her eyes are olive green with yellow-green highlights and pink dots. Mistletoe is wearing a red Santa hat with white faux fur trim and a thin red ribbon around he neck with a green Christmas light. Her brush is pink.

Star Shimmer (Toys R Us)

Star Shimmer
Star Shimmer is a special pony sponsored by Toys R Us on behalf of the Starlight Children's Foundation (hmmm...run by Jerrica Benton?? :) With the purchase of each Star Shimmer pony, Hasbro donates $1 to the charity, as stated on the box's large yellow star sticker. The Starlight Children's Foundation logo is also on the box, with info about the charity.
From the Hasbro My Little Pony site: "The pink carpet will be rolled out on Saturday, November 13th, as Starlight Starbright families in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago will enjoy a special screening of the new MY LITTLE PONY video "Dancing In The Clouds." Long-time Starlight Starbright supporter, Hasbro, Inc., will host the Kids Activity Network events at a Loews cinema in each city. The events will feature pink carpets, a pre-screening party, and goodie bags for all attendees." Read more...
A good friend to every pony, Star Shimmer, has a pearly medium purple body with dark pink & yellow hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a yellow star, outlined in orange & white with yellow beams over a dark pink ruffle surrounded by sparkles. Her heart (left hoof) is dark purple. She has pinkish-purple eyes with a yellow highlight and light blue heart. She comes with a purple brush with the raised flower design.

Disney Princess Ponies (Disney Theme Parks)

I don't know too much about this set of four Disney Princess Ponies, only that they were sold exclusively in Disney theme parks (a great inconvenience for those who don't live anywhere near these attractions! My suggestion would have been to also sell them in Disney Stores in malls nationwide.) Dressing up as their favorite princesses from classic films Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty & the Beast, each pony (all in the original poses and otherwise unchanged) comes with a shiny cape, tail bow, damsel hat with each princess' name in fancy script, and a bow brush matching the color of their costume.

Disney Princess Ponies

Pinkie Pie portrays Cinderella. Her cape, styled after Cinderella's ball gown, is a two tone blue with white lace trim and has two layers. The bottom layer is a brighter blue and the top layer is a pale blue. The bottom layer has white scalloped trim that matches the collar. The velcro rose closure has two attached ribbons. The damsel hat is a pale blue with a brighter blue rim with a white mesh streamer (w/ pieces of iridescent glitter). The name “Cinderella” is written in white, outlined in blue with the 'C' underlining the rest of the name. Her tail bow is not shown.
Sparkleworks portrays Aurora (from Sleeping Beauty). Her outfit is styled after the pink gown worn by Princess Aurora (Flora's color choice, as opposed to Merriweather's blue version). Her flowing cape is mostly medium pink with a light pink pattern sewn on to it (near the collar, which is medium pink also). The velcro rose closure is light pink has two attached ribbons. The damsel hat is medium pink with a lighter pink rim with a white mesh streamer (w/ pieces of iridescent glitter). The name “Aurora” is neatly written in pink, outlined in navy blue. Her tail bow is not shown. Though Sparkleworks was packaged with a regular bow brush, there is also a heart-shaped pony brush with a picture of Aurora on the back, and a raised double heart (the the original pony hoof heart design) on the handle, sold in Disney theme parks.
Kimono portrays Belle (from Beauty & the Beast. Her cape is two-tone yellow (brighter layer in middle, pale on top & bottom) like Belle's ball gown. The velcro rose closure has two attached ribbons. Kimono's damsel hat is pale yellow with a brighter yellow rim with white mesh streamer (w/pieces of iridescent glitter). The name 'Belle' is written in gold, outlined in dark pink (several underlines). Her yellow tail bow is not shown. Note that the Kimono shown is the original version, wearing the Belle costume.
Minty portrays Ariel (from The Little Mermaid). Her cape is a single tone light purple and has three scalloped layers and scalloped collar (presumably to resemble Ariel's seashells). The velcro rose closure has two attached ribbons. Minty's green body is similar to Ariel's mermaid tail. The damsel hat is a light purple with a darker purple rim with a white mesh streamer (w/ pieces of iridescent glitter). The name “Ariel” is written in white (very stylized), outlined in dark pink, surrounded by bubbles. Her tail bow is not shown.

Other Disney MLP Items

The following items were also part of the Disney collection for My Little Pony, as ponies could not only dress as their favorite characters, but also had plenty of tourist accessories from a visit to the theme parks. Info and pictures below provided by Elizabeth Clem unless otherwise noted.

Tinkerbell Minnie Mouse Disney tourist Princess raincoat Princess Minnie

Tinkerbell (from Peter Pan) outfit (modeled by Daisyjo). This is a green two layered skirt with fairy wings sewn on to it. The bottom layer is an iridescent green. The top layer is white mesh with pieces of iridescent glitter. The wings are stiff Mother of Pearl foam. The outfit also includes (but is not shown) a red antenna headband just like the ones that came with the Wishing Wings ponies, only instead of hearts, there are Mickey Mickey face silhouettes.
Minnie Mouse (Mickey Mouse’s girlfriend) outfit (modeled by Bowtie). The skirt is a red with white polka dots, single layer, cotton skirt with scalloped white lace trim. There is elastic in the waistband so you slip the skirt on the pony over her hind legs. The cap is also red with white polka dots. It has two black felt ears, a bow and a plastic elastic strap.
Disney Tourist (modeled by Kiwi Tart). The Mickey ears hat is made of black felt and has a plastic elastic strap. The Minnie sunglasses are red with black painted lenses. Each lense has a pair of Mickey ears on it. Also included is a Mickey Mouse balloon and Mickey Mouse ice cream on a stick (shown separately below).
Princess Raincoat (modeled by Merriweather). The pink raincoat and hat are just like the ones that came with Rain or Shine Garden Time with Star Swirl. The only difference is that the coat has a picture of Aurora, Cinderella, Belle and Snow White in a circle on the right side instead of a pocket. The brim of the pink rainhat is also narrower.
Princess Minnie (modeled by Island Delight) The hat is a black plastic headband with Mouse ears. Some say this is Mickey, but I say its Minnie because of the Princess style veil. The veil is made up of four colors of soft, mesh fabric: seafoam, purple, light blue and pink. Also shown is is roll up pink blanket just like the one that came with the Moonlight Celebration playset.
Ballerina Teacup side Mickey Mouse balloon & hair clip Main Street Popcorn machine

Ballerina (modeled by Sweet Breeze) is 4very similar to the outfit that came with Blossomforth (Dance Jamboree). The tutu skirt is made of two layers, both light blue. The top layer is a soft sheer, the bottom is a stiffer mesh. There is elastic in the waistband. The shoes are a non-pearly light blue plastic and have a butterfly on each one. The glasses are just like (only light blue) ones that have come in several pony sets, such as Seaside Celebration with Cherry Blossom.
Tea Cup Ride. The tea cup is for the ponies to ride in (like the Tea Cup ride at Walt Disney World), NOT drink from. It’s a light purple plastic with a darker purple trim and stars painted on it. Some adult ponies do not fit in it very well. It works best with the babies.
Mickey Mouse balloon & hair clip. Modeled by Golden Delicious (from my collection), both items are in the shape of Mickey Mouse. The balloon is puffed pinkish purple plastic with a squiggly white handle. Unfortunately, a pony can't hold onto it. The clip is pink with a large white heart in the center with pinkish-purple, blue-gray, and light green ribbons.
Main Street Popcorn Machine. The popcorn machine is 5 in long, 3 in wide and 5 in tall. There is a sticker on each side of the machine that says Main Street Popcorn Company. The popcorn pops when you roll it.
Princess bed (front) Princess bed (back) Mickey Mouse bar Princess brush

Princess close-up (from brush) Princess Bed. The bed measures 3 ¼ in wide, 5 in long and 1 ¾ in tall. It is rather small for most of the ponies. It is made of pearly pink plastic. The headboard and footboard are painted white. The flower on the blanket is painted white with an orange center. The heart pillow is painted magenta. The headboard has a sticker with Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Around the picture it says "Sweet Radiant Beautiful Enchanting Good Disney Princess". The footboard has a sticker that says Walt Disney World Princess.
Mickey Mouse bar. Chocolate-covered ice cream bar, shaped like Mickey Mouse, with a bite taken out of it, dripping pink ice cream from inside.
Princess Brush. The brush is just like the one from the Picnic Celebration playset. Only it’s a pale yellow and has a sticker showing Aurora, Cinderella, Belle and Snow White.
Also shown is a close-up of the Princess Brush design showing Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, and Belle; a similar picture decorates the bed headboard and raincoat (less or different princess are shown).

Valentine's Day Ponies (Target)

Valentine's Day Ponies
Some of the first ponies released in 2005, these two Target Exclusives join the collection of seasonal/holiday ponies. Each pony comes with a cute Valentine's Day costume and brush (with raised bow design). Also, the Pony Points have been changed (each Valentine Pony is worth 2 points), now instructing collectors to go to the "Frilly Frocks" section on www.mylittlepony.com for details.
Always & Forever has a white (non-pearly) body with dark red & pink hair. Her Cutie Mark (right hip) is a pink bow & arrow (purple outlined) and three dark pink hearts. Her heart (right hoof) is dark pink. She has light blue eyes with a lighter blue highlight and pale pink hearts. Always & Forever is wearing a cupid's costume with pink iridescent wings (with red stitching) that she wears on her back with a pink ribbon and a red tiara (row of roses). Her brush is white.
Yours Truly has a pearly pink body with light pink & white hair. Her Cutie Mark (left hip) is a large pink heart with purple lace and two small dark pink hearts. Her heart (right hoof) is dark pink. She has light blue eyes with a lighter blue highlight and pale pink hearts.
